I think that this issue is a little bit larger than just pure psychology. For example if we look at the popular media, which is mostly watch by women, we see boys being programmed that they are incapable of doing anything right, for example almost all romantic comedies and sitcoms. If men are willing to admit things they would have got together a long time ago to discuss their issues and rights as men, as women do. But for most men to do so would be to go against the peer pressure as men will deem such action as a sign of weakness. And when such issues are brought up to men in general, they tend to not listen. If men are willing to admit things they would have got together a long time ago to discuss their issues and rights as men, as women do. But for most men to do so would be to go against the peer pressure as men will deem such action as a sign of weakness. And when such issues are brought up to men in general, they tend to not listen. Erin Pizzey seems completely to miss the point on men's behaviour. It is fatuous to argue that men must change and become more like women, learning to 'take responsibility' for what many, myself included, see as childish and trivial things like buying Christmas cards. As this and other linked videos repeatedly acknowledge, men have different priorities and true sexual equality requires that women accept that their priorities are not paramount. Men work extremely well in teams. Men networked quite well to get the vote and many other rights for them and women. The reason rich men do not help poor men is because poor men must be kept down to do the dirty work. Women have been used to subdue men throughtout history by the social engineers of the day. Divide by making men feel inadequate in comparison to women and you conquere the working masses. Women are targetted by advertisers to make them want and deserve so much and men submit.

We used to be quite assertive, now we question ourselves and lack confidence/focus (as a sex).
I've understood for my entire life the value of threat/risk assessment and act to protect myself when a threat/risk has been identified. I'm often called a jerk or asshole for this (predominantly by women) and it isn't a coincidence because it's when I refuse to acquiesce; sex isn't greater than sovereignty.

Men should be celebrated for there selflessness and those women who only look out for themselves should be held as a BAD example. Men and women should look after each other. I disagree w/ some of Pizzey's comments. She's clearly drawing her own conclusions based on personal, hypothetical constructs & conjecture. What she observed is valid. What happened, happened. But she has all her work ahead of her to show evidence for WHY the men she referred to behaved the way they did. All she should be saying is that research needs to be done to find out what is behind such behaviors, so that we can better understand men's issues & help them.
