  • German sounds like... A bunch of retarded kids speaking English. Haha I'm kidding but they are really close. Like I'll be just listening, not understanding, then all of the sudden I hear "pretzel sticks" and I'm like what? Then I realize the pronunciation "pretzel sticks" in German doesn't actually mean "pretzel sticks" ( I am aware that there probably aren't german words pronounce "pretzel stick". It was only an example.

  • @hilaryhahn210 It's part of her background. She started learning it very young, and now it's almost like a very close second to her english. It's quite endearing and at the same time it makes one a bit jealous she can do this and play beautiful violin. What can't she do at this point?

  • I'd been looking for this on here! Thanks so much for uploading it! So how does one go about getting the full transcript?

  • @rogersmr5 Give me your email address, and I'll try to email you the full transcript. If you have Adobe Reader you should be able to see it.

  • I want someone to translate from German into English, please.

  • @shane753 I can't translate the whole thing, but I can tell you they were talking about her violin (Villaume, copy of a Paganini), the picture of her violin teacher Jascha Brodsky with Samuel Barber and Orlando Cole (That part's easy), the quote is from Anton Chekov, and her bow handle has a "paua eye" from New Zealand on it. If you want the full transcript in English I can get that for you, just buzz me on here. :)

  • @chrismcgovernmusic thanks
