  • That suppressor is pointless

  • 0:41 your welcome

  • this video was really useful because its all about using a supressor on an m60 witch is awesome but putting it in slow motion with no sound was the best choice of editing here because sound is the least thing we want to compare here.

  • damn that suppressor really quiets that thing down...

  • Shooting starts at 0:43, just so you don't have to wait.

  • Start 0:44

  • One of the really cool things about slow-mo is that you can actually see the barrel whip occur

  • 7.62x51 NATO ROUNDS

  • Pretty sure a suppressor defeats the purpose of a machine gun,

(i saw just for giggles, reffering to those who think its logical)

its not for people who cant aim, its to deter or suppress large amounts of enemies.

If you cant aim, go buy an AK-74 with a round drum and then suppress that.

  • I would want my Fully automatic M60 machinegun to be heard...

  • 0:43 for the start

  • Wouldn't there be a high risk of baffle strike with the silencer moving around like that? It seems to shift a 1/4" at times

  • all you kids are idiot heads

looks up saami specs to see the differences (sammi.org)

  • These comments are proof that gun enthusiasts make worse nerds than anything else.

  • that thing is dead silent

  • Wow that gun was REALLY quiet! Nice suppressor dude

  • 0:43 to skip homoerotic footage

  • no slow enough to see bullets come out barrel

  • i do that in my sleep.

  • lol funny gun to put a supressor on :D

  • That's is awesome didn't know you could suppress an m60 must be custom

  • slow mo cheat on

  • Lol why so many dislikes?

  • 7.62x59 (NATO) is the same as .308....

  • @weq7 i messed up the 7.62 it should be 51 i beleive

  • 7.62x51mm (A.K.A) .308

  • Lol there's a thing called video editing! 0:44 sec of nothing

  • .308 the civilian version of the 7.62x51 NATO

  • Someone is retarded, an M60 shoots a 7.62x51mm NATO round, not a .308.

  • @LoneSnowWolf115 yeah someone IS retarded

  • nice ;-)

  • The silencer looks like its going to fall off

  • video stars here

    0:42

  • easy way to silence guns completly... hit the mute button

  • @Sk8erguy1996 Unless you have some super cool way to play sounds at such a slow speed and not have them sound like ghosts coming to kill you, don't critize kid.

  • @AdmiralGST i wasn't critizing i was just saying its any easy wat to silence guns cause a lot of people have been arguing over whether you should call it a silencer or suppresor

  • @Sk8erguy1996 Thats kinda irrelevant to that topic.

  • 0:42 to see him shooting

  • oh my god. for the top comment call of duty nerds, the m60 shoots a 7.62x51 bullet. and even if it did shoot a 7.62x54 it is still slightly smaller than a .308. learn your bullets before you post

  • @hater195 im sorry to tell you that the 7,62x51 i slightly smaller then the 7,62x54R...

and the difference between .308 and 7,62x51 is about the shoting pressure ! just like the .223 and 5,56x45 !

    (.308 - 62.000 PSI) - (7,62x51 - 50.000 PSI)

  • @BlackSkorpion1991 of course it is. i was saying if someone got 7.62x54 mixed with .308 then they were wrong. a fully automatic .308 would rip ur arm off

  • @hater195 How the hell would a fully automatic .308 rip your arm off? Not only was it clearly demonstrated here that it would not, (Even ignoring the fact that this is chambered in 7.62 NATO, a higher pressure variant of the .308) but fully automatic rifles chambered in this round have been around for decades! The HK G3, The M14, the FN FAL and its respective variants, you know? The rifle that was so popular that it was nicknamed "The right arm of the free world"? Yeah, no ripped arms.

  • @Moosezorz you're dumb the .308 is a higher pressure civilian version of the 7.62 nato the 5.56 is a higher pressure version of the .223 though. easy to confuse when you just google things all the time and have no practical experience.

  • Comment removed

  • @CptSmokeAlot

Regardless if I'm right or not, the change is insignificant. No arm ripping here, Smoke. That is a ridiculous notion.

  • @Moosezorz And still, the M60 IS chambered in 7.62 NATO.

  • @Moosezorz Alright Alright i apologize for being a bit of a dick but its a personal peeve of mine when people put out incorrect gun facts it only spreads the confusion. Not to mention making you look like one of these new Call of duty kids who suddenly know everything about rifles and claymores and how to do 360 no scopes that shit is straight retard nonsense

  • Pfft, typical American.

    ...having all the fun :(

  • action starts at 45 sec

  • ok, a suppressed weapon on a video with no sound... :/

  • The dumber brother of the MG42...

  • @kozioff Not really, M60's will blow people in half. And how the hell is it the brother of an MG42, hmmm... Let's see here, M60 designed by America, MG42 designed my Germany. Hmm, not much relation there besides the Light Machine Gun classifications and the high caliber. You sir, are mostlikely a COD player.

  • @McHoyal Hmm... it seems sir that not only the M60 is dumb around here... Oh, well!

The design and mechanism of the M60 was LARGELY influenced by MG42 as well as FG42. How? Well, if the words "belt feeding mechanism" and "breech-block" mean anything to you, respectively implemented from the latter two weapons into the M60, slightly redimensioned to serve the thermodynamical specificities of the newly adopted cartridge, it would nearly help you to understand the complexity of the issue...

  • @kozioff Clearly seeing how you believe you know everything about weapons, I tell you sir: To fuck off.

  • @McHoyal Oh, and I'm not a COD player, I'm what my KIT Vordiplom here states a last year Fachrichtung Allgemeiner Maschinenbau (Profil Werksofftechnik) student and I've spent my 6 months teaching practice in one of the world's leading defense consortiums, which at some point did produce this specific machine-gun in question.

And if M60 blows people in half, then the MG42 blows them into pieces...

  • @McHoyal no you sir, are an idiot it was designed after the MG42 they lowered the rate of fire that was on big draw back to the MG42, and to be honest with you ALOT of guns that were designed by germans were and are copied for american use just look at the mauser bolt design where else have you seen it maybe the good ole trusty M14, Germany is and always have been Known for its engineering feats, read a book, better yet go back to school, your making yourself look stupid

  • @hosstetter actually the lee enfield was designed off the mauser not the m14

  • @McHoyal so brother your wrong the m60 was designed off of the mg42. that guy your cracking on made the comment knows the history of what the gun was based off of. lol fail

  • @shortthrow50

keep shooting the 7.62 through your .308 and eventually youll get a kaboom. its slightly higher pressure and can theoretically damage a weapon that isnt made for it

  • @pvtsnoballz I reload and am aware of the pressures and case lengths. I always go full bore. There are no documented cases of such accident happening. Many many people have been shooting 7.62 out of .308 as well as 5.56 out of .223 for may years including myself. Many people exceed max load specs while reloading as well. Is it advised???? NO!! of course not. nobody wants the liability. I of course use firearms in good condition. My gun isnt going to go kabooom. If it did, it would be the first

  • @shortthrow50 I thought it was no 5.56 in a .223 and no .308 in a 7.62? If you switch them around though it's ok.

  • @LifeisGood762 Na your right mate. The 5.56 round is slightly bigger but noticeably than the .223 round and higher compression. So you can fire .223 rounds through a rifle chambered in 5.56 but not the other way around as the compression could be to high and cause damage to the rifle.

  • Why suppressed? We can't hear anything anyways!

  • the way the shells were falling out looked like one of those crappy 3D movies where they throw random shit at the screen >.>

  • GO Tactical Elvis! WOOOOO!

  • haha, sorry but I fell asleep the first 0:40 seconds :P

  • Someone's never heard of editing....

  • First 43 seconds were a waste of my time

  • thats so beautiful my friend

  • my bad fukrz

  • @Ruvalc your probly thinkN of the m2 50cal

  • You appear to be an idiot. An M60 fires .308.

  • @straightgrain or a 7.62x51 NATo. I dont see why people think it fires the 30-06 or even the 8mm for some reason.... it boggles the mind does it not?

  • @straightgrain No it's .223

  • @straightgrain Then it would be a very rare M60,Most M60s fire the 7.62x51 NATO round wich is similar to the .308 but not the same. Ask an adult to explain it to you.

  • @liftwaffe Try being an adult. Yes, the two rounds have some distinct differences. That said "Although not identical, the 7.62×51mm NATO cartridge is similar enough to the commercial .308 Winchester that the Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers' Institute (SAAMI) considers it safe to fire the NATO round in weapons chambered for the commercial round." I have no idea why you are calling me out or what exactly you are trying to call out.

  • This is a post-sample M60, built by US Ordnance, that was being shot with a John's Guns suppressor for sh!ts and giggles. The ammo was bulk surplus that was actually marked as 7.62x51/.308. And for the record, this M60 fires .308 marked ammo just fine.

  • @straightgrain Loose chambers,it happens alot around american guns. Poor workmanship mostly.

  • @liftwaffe Whatever. Preach on. You seem to have an amazing grasp of the subject at hand.

  • @straightgrain The M60 was brilliant was it? I guess it had to be since it was replaced by the FN MAG

  • @liftwaffe you're a fuckin idiot

  • @straightgrain Sure thing I am just a bit careful around firearms and I prefer to keep things straight around them. I must be the dumb guy here...

  • @liftwaffe *Facepalm* I hope you do know that toughs two rounds are damn near the same that's why it can chamber the .308.

  • @liftwaffe .308 and 7.62mm NATO are as different from one another as .223 Remington and 5.56mm NATO.

So, basically...the difference is virtually nil.

  • @1981bigsol Actually there is a slight bigger difference between 5.56 and .223 that is something you need to look out for. .308 and 7.62 are virtually identical. I believe that the NATO round has slightly less powder but I'm not sure so don't hold me to it. HOWEVER, 5.56 is higher powered than your standard .223 and if you put the 5.56 into a weapon that is designed to fire only .223 then you will destroy the weapon. Eventually, may take one round or a hundred.

  • @liftwaffe oh jesus titty fucking christ you one of them....

  • @liftwaffe SAME ROUND GENUS FIGURE SHIT OUT BEFORE YOU SPEAK

  • @liftwaffe To most people it's the same thing, and it's more convenient to say

  • they arent the same but they are pretty fucking close the .308 packs jjus a lil more punch

  • @liftwaffe congratulations mr technical asshole. you are right. however your still an asshole becuase they are almost identical and many refer to the 7.62x51 as .308. But you sir are just a blabber mouth. I shoot .308 out of my 7.62 fal rifle just as i shoot 7.62x51 out of my .308 bolt gun. Whoooaoaoaa big freakin deal. go change your baby diapers

  • no smoke in front not big enough suppressor gun not proper size and m60 fires 50cal. soo its a replica with lower cal... PERIOD

  • @Ruvalc HURR DURR I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT GUNS!!! - Ruvalc

google shit before you start spreading more stupidity to the world.

  • @aegis808 um still nothing about a 50cal m60 with a suppresor DERR fukng retard ahhh derr. dumas zigga

  • @Ruvalc the M60 doesn't shoot 50cal you fucking retard

The M60 is a belt-fed machine gun that fires the 7.62 mm NATO cartridge

like i said learn to google shit before go on and prove even more so how much of an idiot you really are.

  • What camera did you use? and is this twixtor from after affects?

  • He's ready for the zombie apocalypse

  • 0:43 The beginning of the video

  • thanks for posting such goddamn good quality videos.

  • Nice.

  • this is like a spartan with the stealth of a ninja

  • @RevitalizedVessel You should die a horrible death.

  • Gosh... you are pretty ignorant, aren't you? A suppressor for large calibers (this is a .308 machine gun) doesn't make it Hollywood quiet. It does reduce the sound to barely tolerable for a few rounds. A can on this gun is a novelty to demonstrate the robustness of the can.

  • @straightgrain plus it helps tons when aiming down sights not to have major muzzle flash from light machine guns. and you're way less likely to give away your position.

  • @straightgrain the Navy SEALs still use the M60.

  • @straightgrain A can??

  • @T1ERGAMERS its a nick-name for a supressor/silencer

  • @needmydatsun Oh... ok thanks :)

  • why is he wearing a ear protector if the gun he's firing is suppress.. just wondering..

  • bet he was sore after that

  • listen to Schubert - Ave Maria (Opera) when watching this :) 10/10!

  • suppressed M60, I believe I have no words.

  • That's awesome :D
