Taverns have teleporters because it gets quite cold at night in Nosgoth, and teleporters provide an easy way home, plus one can avoid getting arrested for being drunk in public as well.

Blood Omen 2 doesn't follow the storyline.

The Storyline goes - Blood Omen, Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Defiance

Yes, BO2 does follow the story line, and it IS canon. The events of Defiance make BO2 possible. That's a common misconception.

personally i think that it has the greatest story i have ever seen, read or heard about.... it's true i had to play each part around 6 times to get it but in the end i just couldn't get enough of it...

though IMO Blood Omen 2 is ( according to lore ) the only one a bit off.. but then again it was made by another company

by the way, im sure you know this already but most spirit forges have a 'back entrance' just like the one in the tavern took you to the flay spirit forge.

If you send a human to the spirit forge in your place (With conrol mind) you get 99 of the featured item!

As near as I can tell the only use a teleporter in a tavern would have is easy transport of those more drunken patrons...
