I have to diagree with these guys on group A. Mexico is one of the better teams in the Americas and beats Uruguay more than enough, and even Brazil has a bad history against Mexico in the last ten 7-8 years, and Brazil lost again to Mexico couple days ago. I cant speak for South Africa, but Mexico and France will put a bit of a wild card game on tho Mex dont have a good history in Europe, but a power house in the Americas. I hope US will pass with England as well.

Salvador Cabanas was shot in the head(critical and in hospital still) and Juan Carlos Silva had a light wound. Cabanas is very popular in Mexico and Paraguay(hes paraguayan) He was going to play in SA but the months before the world cup are the worst for any team. He was going to play for Paraguay though not Mexico. Docs say he still has a chance for SA

Uruguay had a tight defence and didn't need to take risks, they had a different objective; defence and counterattack. Mexico had to attack to avoid Argentina so they did so risking it with a weak defence. Uruguay could've scored more but they lacked communication at the net. If that's all Uruguay could get past one of Mexico's worst keepers and a nearly invisible defence formation, they need to improve alot, way too many missed shots. But still a very intense game, best of the group IMO

It contains 2 great teams but Ivory coast are a little overrated and North Korea will do weIl to get a single point from their 3 games. I think Group E is by far the toughest! By the current Fifa world rankings Holland are 3rd Denmark are 27th Cameroon are 11th Japan are 43rd!

Though again a lot of people like to underestimate the small teams. Everyone that got into the World Cup has to be taken seriusly. In group C I se England doing well, with USA getting a reality shock against both Algeria and Slovenia. No matter how much you prepare for the match, USAs mentality towards the two teams is: Easy points.... The same thing the Russians thought in the qualifications and they were sent packing. That's a good point - if yers hadn't knocked out Russia and they were in our group there's no way we'd be classing ourselves as lucky. We played you recently remember, and only really beat you because we were awarded a nothing penalty, and were lucky to not give away two, so Slovenia's a tougher call than I think most people realise.
