@IDontHateOnCars I looked for it, and couldn't find it on youtube. I personally seen it on TV on the speed channel, about 3-4 years ago. Theres a lot of us Brewers spread across the country. Where are you from? OH here.
Love the mid gear race u really got to see each car pull from low in their rpm band. Suprised to see that Z06 inch away from the ZR1 in such a low rpm...i'd love to see this race 2-3 times & a little longer too!
@13tomabram Yeah but it's still a ZR1 and a race from the bottom of the torque curve at that. Buut who knows what wa done to the Z06 too...either way I love them both!
@MaxwellReviresco I like them both also. But the Z06 has more potential cause of the 427 in it. Dosent take much to get 150hp and 150lb ft of torque from that beast.
@13tomabram Well from what I remember the LS7 is based on the 364.1ci LS2 6.0L just bored and stoked w/ ported aluminum Cylinder heads to get to the 427ci. Of corse there's a lot more different parts & details that makes it an LS7. That's why it's a small block 427 & not a big block ;-) With a compression ratio 11.0:1 it's easier & cheaper to upgrade the LS9 ZR1 motor...just with a pulley change & tune there big gains :-)
@montey1017 First off who is talking to you? You should learn how to read. Like my FIRST comment in my conversation that said ANOTHER 150lb-ft of torque. Now Go find something else to do.
TOP GEAR's clarkson drove a Z06 off the line in 5th gear ....and it pulled....all the way up to 175mph before he ran out of track...

Richard Hammond did it in 6th gear...

@bbrewer5 With a corvette zo6? I don't believe that if so. 5th gear is barely short enough it can go 0-198 in 5th if they had the room .

@IDontHateOnCars It was on a 3 mile airstrip. He about burned out the clutch in the process, but he did it.

@13tomabram 150 lb/ft of torque is nothing!
my dads jeep has like 250, and my olds has like 575 (dont use the olds as an example though)
the LS6 block had 400 lb/ft of torqu stock. quote wikipedia.

@MaxwellReviresco yeah well ALL small blocks are the same size. The bigger displacement will ALWAYS have more potential.
