No offence to joe lovers but i don't know what bugged me more his voice or his rediculously guitar pluckin \stooge of a band or what he did when they plucked or his karate kid stance or what he did there at the end. OK OK he can live forever but any chanve of retireing in the process ? if I live forever but happen to watch another vid of his I am going to need a barf bag lol
Nice sentiment "inanjrivers". But, Eddy Shaver (son) died 12/31/2000. This song appears on the 1993 album entitled "Tramp on Your Street". Eddy plays a beautiful acoustic guitar part on this song on that album.
The backup band on this is Diamondback Texas from the Teague/Mexia area.
Jeremy Woodall:Acoustic Guitar (left side), Lanky Moore:Acoustic Guitar:(right side), Scott Thornton:Bass, Randy Grimes:Drums

I think this song is about a father so missing his late son and looking forward to a reunification in the hereafter, I hope they find each other.
