  • He was going to say alternator, Its fine bro, say it. all alternators eventually go out.

  • No Shit Sherlock...

  • 700,000 miles in 12 years? Damn where do you go every day lol

  • Considering the car hasn't been smashed up, stolen, or whatever in that amount of miles it has is amazing enough. I have a 97 Toyota Camry, with almost 400 kilometers, runs great. It has the 2.2 4cyl motor. How long could this dream last? Great car hope you hit the mil mile club!

  • Toyota is AMAZING!!!!

  • yeah they had lithium ion batteries that only needed to be replaced every 250,000 miles or so

  • The superchargers in these cars will make that engine run forever, and toyota didnt put an alternator in this vehicle wich will make it run allot longer

  • @mellowmonkey73 what?! no alternator?????

  • @mellowmonkey73 You really have no fucking clue what the fuck you are talking about. Camry's don't come with supercharges and every single vehicle on the road has an Alternator in it. Stick with playing with RC cars.

  • @krims0n70 now make me a sandwich!

  • I am afraid that you read that wrong, a toyota can't go over 1000 miles.

  • Got a 1998, this video is reassuring.

  • That's 70K miles a year

    almost 6k a month

    200 miles A DAY

that is like 3/4 a tank a day

  • wtf he must drive around the world and back every month!

  • my Camry was assembled in Japan, you can tell by the VIN, it starts with a 'J'. The rest were assembled in Kentucky and they start with a '4' I believer.

it's a one owner '93 with only 112K miles on it.

Looks like new, paints like glass.

  • So that's a year and a half ago, what is the mileage on it now?

  • this was uploaded in 2010 okay lets do some math shall we:

    2010-2000 = 10 years 702685/10yrs = 70,268 miles PER YEAR / 52 = 1351 miles per week. 193 miles per day.

Either this guy does long distance delivery EVERYDAY since hes gotten this/takes lots of long vacations or this is a bunch of bullcrap.

  • 230 oil changes? Receipts or I wouldn't buy it LOL

  • How is there any pride in owning or buying a foreign vehicle? Thats partly why our economy sucks

  • @454camaroRS If you watched the news instead of screwing your sister you would know that they decided that the TOYOTA CAMRY is the car that creates the most AMERICAN JOBS... meaning JOBS HERE IN AMERICA

  • @454camaroRS Toyota is actually opening a factory/assembly thing in the usa, forget where though I'm not a huge toyota fangirl

  • @454camaroRS many foreign makes are assambled in usa. toyota, honda, even mercedes assembles some of the models in the USA

  • @454camaroRS my '93 Camry assembled in Japan is still running strong. Only 112K miles on it.. Plus the parts are not from Taiwan the are made in Japan, that makes a difference.

Now Toyota is made in the USA.

  • those 2 dislikes are from ford and chevy

  • @kirilyuklive

    Dodge and Cadillac now lol

  • Go 2 million more miles and you catch Erv Gordon in his volvo...he has over 2.5 million miles.

  • I had a toyota camry that conked out after its first service at the toyota garage.

    say no more!

However, my morris ital is still going strong. 845, 453 miles.

  • Its not hard to do that... Keep up on maintenance and your good! This is only like 200 miles a day for 10 years here.

  • NOPE I IM PROUD AMERICA OWNER OF A 1986 CHEVY C-10 STEP-SIDE AND A 1993 FORD MUSTANG BOTH V-8

  • @THEMRDRC78 the worst cars possibly imaginable

  • crap crap crap the best milion miles engines in the world are made by GM no questions asked i dont bealive in no jap crap car

  • @IssaBendeck1 You must be high on something. I use to work at Hertz LAX. Out of this location alone they rent over 1000 cars every day. All of their cars have less then 40K miles and they have an even mix of GM, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai and Nissans. Point being, 90% of the emergency road service calls they get from people broken down in their rental cars are from darn GM cars! GM engines/cars SUCK. They are so bad that employees save the keys to imports for their nicest customers.

  • @USCUSCTrojan1 YOU ARE SOOOOOO RIGHT. THEY CANT EVEN MAKE AN INTAKE GASKET LAST OVER 50,000 MILES.

  • @USCUSCTrojan1 My mom and dad had to rent a car due to a accident. They gave them a cobolt. They drove it and it made some strange noise lol. They took it back and requested a Corolla promptly.

  • @IssaBendeck1 Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! PROVE IT.

  • haha kbb values this car at $4000, i then checked to see what my 00 seville with leather, traction control, electronic dash. power everything, 300hp, car in mint condition not needing a single thing at $5000, i find that funny. Just goes to show kbb knows JACK SHIT!

  • @TeenIronMan no-no-no, you know jack shit, boy! its you!!! god damn it!!! who, in their right mind, would want a 12 year old chevy truck made at the pick of GM's decay???????????????????????? i bet the take on such a vehicle would be less than 0.001%, or 1 out of 1000 people... if even that..

  • I bet he's rebuilt that motor a ton.. Dam false advertising.

  • that sure looks like 70,268.5 to me....

  • @CountyFarm1 There's no commas or decimals.

  • he aint from mississippi.

  • this is what you get for always right lane on freeways!

  • I know a lot of people with old Mercedes and Peugeots (diesels) still running fine after more than 20 years and over a million km.

My father also had a Toyota Dyna truck for 30 years, bought second hand. It was always hauling 7+tons (it was made for 2) and he only sold it because it was too rusty.

So, yes, good quality cars with good engines are the thing to have. Just being European or Japanese and diesel usually indicate it will last long.

  • lol toyota

  • This video was put up in 2010. So in 10 years he drove the car approx. 70,000 per year. Where is driving to put on all those miles?

  • Thats a lot of trips to Africa...

  • Hey Don, it's 2012, is that car still getting you around town to this day?

  • I drive an 02 Toyota Camry and while it may not be the sportiest looking car in the world, like Donald said, it NEVER tears up and also gets good gas mileage.

Post us when he gets one million. I'm curious if the odometer will stop or start over at 999,999 or if it will actually read one million, because it looks as though there is room for a 7th digit.

  • @GeneralSirDouglasMcA have your head bolts gone out yet? I'm all seriousness that's the worse year for Toyota in the 2000's.. In 2002 they changed the heads to metal on the bottom and aluminum on top. By 60K miles or so those bolts strip and you need to put thousands of bucks worth of work into it. But then again, I am sure you did your research before buying.

  • Great job man. I look forward to getting 500,000 on my 850 Volvo T-5R wagon. I'm right at 200,000 now.

Do you use standard oil or synthetic?

  • sounds fake. and the car was never turned on. he was there prob to trade in that clunker

  • @Cracker603 i dont think so, my mom gave me a 1996 toyota camry with 362,000 miles on it and she only did tune up's on it. i drove it until it hit 438,000 miles, even then the engine still ran just fine but the car would only go in reverse, i decided just to buy a new car after that because the seats were all tore up, no ac (still had heat) and the inside of car looked junky as hell, so i gave it away. the person who i gave it to fixed it and still drives it till this day.

  • @dustin741 Yo dude I dont care, still sounds like crap

  • @Cracker603 why do you have to turn it on? Oh you think it could have no engine?

  • MAINTAIN YOUR SHIT GUYZ.. IT AINT THE CARZ THAT FUCK UP ITS YOU NOT TAKING CARE OF IT RIGHT

  • wow to muchhh...

  • wow.. i thought 280,000 on a 2000 was alot

  • when you get to 1 million you should tell toyota to use you for a commercial. thats what honda did with million mile joe. he even got a new accord.

  • @kerpal3 not trying to be mean, but they probably wont take it cuz hes black... fucking society

  • @pretzel1253 or they could use him to get more black costumers

  • @kerpal3 Volvo gave Gordon a new car when he hit 1,000,000 on his car. Now he has 2.7 million. I can't even afford the gas...

  • any car can easily go to 350k +, so long as standard maintenance is kept up. the majority of parts on a vehicle deteriorate from neglect

  • @Justo506 just oil changes and spark plug changes and tire changes. But not every maker can provide that quality of a honda or toyota, there is a reason they both are voted most reliable every year.

American made cars, parts suck! You also got fat, lazy american employees making more of their cars. That's also the problem.

I would never buy anything but toyota or honda!

  • Faulty speed sensor? I know from experience black people treat their cars like shit.

  • isnt toyota better than honda?

  • @FromThe3PointLine not better... there both great car company's

  • 7/ timing/ belts/ damn/ thats/ alot

  • @DJx79x you r spose 2 change them every 100 thou

  • i have a 1993 saab 900 turbo still running and has 800,000

  • Wow. Awesome

  • i put 60,000 miles in four months in my 91 Eclipse GS-T.

  • wow nice my toyota got 316000 miles watch out

  • wtf that means you drive 192 miles since the day you first bought it

  • @kerpal3 since i got my 2011 nissan altima i been averaging 261 miles a day. i got the car june 28 of 2011. i have 41,000 miles on it right now :)

  • @occckid123 thats insane is your workplace that far away or something?

  • @kerpal3 kinda sorta. i work 10 miles down the road and 40 miles down the road but i go places. i usually drive 320 miles a day mon-fri but now im only doing 270 miles a day mon-fri. i cant stay put on weekends either or between work sometime so i drive alot!!!

  • @occckid123 damn with todays gas prices thats crazy

  • @kerpal3 tell me about it! i have every single one of my gas records. so far this month i spent 870 bucks on gas and averaged 238 miles a day for the first 28 days in november. thats 6901 miles so far this month. my mpg average this month is lower being at 30.077mpg. my average miles between fill-ups is 532miles a tank..

  • thats alot of trips to KFC...

  • @Dillon1108 Really Dude?

  • Comment removed

  • The last of the good camrys...

  • rite now i have a nissian maxima with 220k miles on it and i love it ......my next car is going to be a camry:)

  • Holy shit! Nice! I hope that car goes pass 1 million (it most likely will)! Mine has over 226,000 kilometres (~140,000 miles) (I'm from Canada). XD

  • my dad has an 03 corrolla with about 130,000 miles and it still runs like a brand new car, the only thing its been in the repair shop for is maintnence and repairs from an accident

  • Man, I guess I sold my Toyota when it was still new...at only 176,000 miles. lol

  • Toyota's are bitching cars if they are well kept. My Toyota matrix (which was given to me by mom after she bought it new and had it for 6 years) has about 125,000 miles on it and is still running strong we bought the car back in 2004 for $15,000 I would say the car has definitely kept it's value.

  • hmm funny I never see any Toyotas older than a 1995.....

  • @slyhitman214 Oh really? You've never seen ANY older than 95? Sure.

  • @BKofficer23 Nope never... the last time I saw 80's models was like 5 years ago at the junkyard....there were like 4 there. Then there is like a 2001 4 runner around here that sounds like its killing a cat because the motor must be fucked or something..never heard a car make a noise like that.

  • @slyhitman214 You must live in either a bubble.. Or are not paying attention.. Because i see older toyota's all over the place.. Its rare that i see any older GM or Ford cars.. I see the trucks.. Mostly driven by the migrant workers around the area.. But other then that i NEVER SEE older American cars.. well accept for at the Demo derby's where i actually see some 2005-2000 GM cars..

  • @TheManInDboX I'm talking old like 1970's and early 80's... On the rare occasion I see one it's rusted to pieces.... Funny thing is the only old cars I see are American muscle......The only kind of old car worth anything....because old Toyotas don't really exist anymore.

  • @slyhitman214 Well i see a few mid 80's toyo's on the road, but you are right, older then that are very rare. They did rust out heavily before 1985, this was due to them not being dipped in a zink coating that is used to ionize the body, which almost all new cars get. It electrically charges the body which stops the rust from happening. There is really no market for the older ones to restore, with the exception of the 27 year old AE86 and the now 13yr old Supra's.

  • It's man-made, so of course it will have its small problems. However, Toyota's are rock solid cars.

  • Dang man im from Flowood,MS haha. I bet you could still sell it for top dollar. Gotta love Toyotas

  • Dang! How many miles on there now? I have about 216k miles on my 98! Million miles here I come too!

  • The valve seals let oil blow by after awhile, and the crank case gasket will also leak, but otherwise it's solid!

  • wow that rocks!! i have a 05 avalon that i plan on making just as awsome as your camry!

  • How do you drive around 200 miles a day?

  • Is the engine and transmission original?

  • Damn Donald! Thats unreal! My mom has a 2000 Camry with 151K. I have a 2000 4Runner as a 2nd car with 106K and its like a new truck. 702K wow! Is the engine original? Keep up the good maint on it!!

  • @omglolJU wouldnt suprise me if it was original they will last like this if you keep up the maintenance
