  • APU my ass!

  • Rot Alleine : Zu schwach

    Grün Alleine : Zu schwach

    Beide zusammen machen intel platt

  • @NoName57253

Jedes von dem könnte intel platt machen, d.h. nur die AMD CPU (Bulldozer) alleine könnte intel problemlos platt machen wie damals 2003 bei den Athlon XP und Athlon 64 Modelle es möglich gewesen wäre.

    Ja, dein Comment is schwach

  • Please add a dedicated GDDR memory port on these parts. The GPU is relegated to SSE level performance. As OpenCL support takes off, will even having SSE onboard the CPU make sense? Why not just code all streaming/dsp applications in OpenCL and give that die real estate back to a UNIFIED GPU/CPU cache. Adding a good shared CPU/GPU cache is the best way AMD could differentiate themselves from NVidia. Keep shrinking the GPU processes!

  • It seems that when the Bobcat APU and Bulldozer CPU even be at the market, that intel for a long time, AMD no competition will be more. look similar example K7 up to K9 vs. Netburst!

  • @StevensiTX no such thing as K9. it was K7, K8, K10

  • @SteelCity1981

    Athlon X2 a other name is K9, but it's a faster K8.

  • @StevensiTX Nope the Athlon 64 X2 is based on the K8 not K9 there was no such thing as the K9. All Athlon 64's were K8 All Athlons II were K10x. K9 was never a production model of AMD of any kind.

  • @SteelCity1981

Yes it's a K8, but also the name K9 (not officially).

  • @StevensiTX there was and i repeat was no such thing as K9

"The existence of a massively parallel CPU design concept for heavily multi threaded applications has also been revealed, as a planned successor to K8. This was reportedly canceled in the conceptualization phase, after about 6 months' work."

  • i have a very wired question about this processor and sandy bridge they are combine of cpu and gpu my question is if i buy gtx 580 or 5870 will this 3 combine and give more power or ones i put gtx 580 or any other card this build in gpu inside processor will disable?? if that gonna happen then its normal cpu and waste of time and money so anyone explain me how it will work.... very confused on this...

  • @tomyloveu Amd has already have something like that. It's called ATI Hybrid Graphics. It's where the integrated graphics chip is crossfire with a deticated graphics card to provide more power to graphics intensive things. I haven't heard if it is included with the new Fusion APU though. As with Nvidia, they have something similar called Hybrid Sli but with Intel and Amd having their own graphics chip built into their cpus, I would doubt that their cards would work.

  • @gemini6179 thx for ur reply me too waiting for some thing like that hope when it gonna come out i not update my pc for more 6months if any more info plz do share veyr much wanted to know and thx for letting me about ati

  • @tomyloveu the llano apu are mobile cpu, for laptops. you wont be putting a 580 in a laptop, the desktop version will be the bulldozer cpu which doesn't have a graphics chip

  • Comment removed

  • hold on ... is the n-body problem gpu or cpu intensive?

if I understand this correctly ... fusion makes cpu = gpu power in an all in one chip

    or

are they 2 separate chips just communicating w/ each other extremely effectively w/ DX11 tech?

  • Comment removed

  • 100%??? Thats using a quarter of the whole APU unit! But, it is still using all of the fist CPU and that is worrying

  • who cares about running Crysis, can this chip do Folding@home while running Metro 2033 with full tessellation? That's the questions we should asking

  • @KrayzieBone222 you misunderstand, this is not targeted for the gamer/enthusiast user, this is for notebooks and mini-PC's, not high end gaming systems. Thats what "Bulldozer" will be for, it will have 8 cores an will be out in 2011 (socket AM3+)

  • @KrayzieBone222

500Gflops is approx like a Radeon HD 5570. That should give you an idea of what to expect. The market for the Llano APU is NOT the top end. Its to replace the current Athlon II series. But includes a GPU based IGP.

  • @usacomputertec What about power consumption? Is that not a reason?

  • Can you play crysis with this?

  • @points2shopPROOF

You should be able to...500GFlops is slightly lower than a current generation Radeon HD 5570. It should result in 2x to 3x performance advantage over Intel's upcoming "Sandy Bridge" (LGA1155 version).

To the end user, it should deliver 30fps to 50fps at 1024x768 or 1280x1024 at "High quality" settings.

  • @aussiebear22 nice.

  • When I say: 2x to 3x performance advantage over Intel's upcoming "Sandy Bridge" (LGA1155 version); I mean the IGP parts. Sandy Bridge's IGP is like a Radeon HD 5450 in its 12 execution units (EU) version. (There's also a slower 6 EU version.)

  • did he said 500 Gflops?

  • When do you think this will be fully incorporated into consumer electronics?

  • @TurnItUpPlease

It is said to be coming in mid-2011. That's assuming everything goes well for AMD.

  • AMD? where have you been?

  • 7 Intel executives are fearing for their jobs

  • I'm pretty sure it is gonna be a breakthrough !!

  • Chris... sorry but i still prefer Intel :)

  • Where can i get a copy of the n-body demo?

  • will it be AM3 board capable?

  • @Midas617 nevermind "APU"

  • @Midas617

I have a feeling it will have it's own socket or be like the atom and integrated into the board

  • very interesting

  • Lol. Normally the video is rendered by the graphics card...

No/Not very much CPU needed (OK it must have NVIDIA PureVideo or ATI *** Don´t know the name...)

  • intel!! juchee! intel :D oh damm, wrong video!

  • @DarkKnight2793

intel? no rather intwastel :-D sandy shit is useless, i'm looking forward to the publication of Bulldozer and Bobcat in 2011.

  • my only question is: Will it blend?

  • @Anusversagen

You can even try it once at that company to register if you want to know about it :-).

  • Am I the only one who loves the fact that this was (c) 2009?

  • AMD is really price/performance, but sorry AMD I won't buy ur CPUs for desktops, since I have a relative working for Intel, and I can get 40% discount on all intel products because of that.........XD

Anyways, Ilano seems promising for mobile platforms, might buy one

  • this is a step towards better power consumption. it will be oriented towards portable computers, possibly tablets and mainstream computers. If raw performance is what you need, sit back and relax because you already have everything you need.

  • Wow that is amazing with only one APU, but will it be like the CPU where you can choose, or will it be integrated like laptop graphics?

  • AMD has yet to dissapoint me.

$#%@ Intel, I'm not paying a premium for their products.

  • Or you could just use a quad core CPU with a DDR3 NVIDIA graphics card with 512MB or more dedicated video memory and do the same thing.

  • @usacomputertec And I bet you'd be paying double the price.

  • @IrishTopgun12 $30 for the PCI Express video card and a little more for the CPU and I'd get better results. I use AMD but there is no reason to buy a CPU like this.

  • @usacomputertec its for notebooks, why the hell is everyone so stuipid...

  • @usacomputertec

You've completely missed the point. Have you seen AMD processor roadmaps?

    * Phenom II will be replaced by Bulldozer.

    * Athlon II will be replaced by Llano APU.

Llano brings the performance of an US$80 video card as part of the processor! (It'll be approx like a Radeon HD 5570 in its final form...For an IGP!)

Can you do a quad-core CPU with $80 video card at 59W under full load? This is what Llano offers to the mainstream-affordable market.

  • Can't wait to buy this! 32nm and APU! Can I crossfire this 2 GPUs with APU?

  • @njhth 99% yes :) and I'm waiting to buy a 'bulldozer'!!

AMDs low price - hi performance marketing model is the best, support AMD it's the smart choice from the users that they know what their buying what they really need.

    AMD has return!

  • so much want

  • we hate windows, why should not use linux or macos instead for you presentation?

  • @airdog77 because no one cares about linux or mac

  • All good all good.. But how much is it gonna cost? =/

  • Is this a new CPU?

  • @RATSHADY I'm pretty sure its a SoC (System on a Chip)

  • But can it play Crysis?

  • gonna buy this for sure :D

  • wow thats actually pretty cool.

  • Runs crysis?

  • @CorsairBR

    easy man :P

  • IMO fusion is really just aimed at notebooks (which isnt a bad thing). I'm positive that 90% of desktop users won't care less for the IGP, and would rather have the brute power from sandy bridge

  • @s9729126c Or Bulldozer!

  • @s9729126c If AMD have something up their sleeves similar to Nvidia's Optimus this is a great idea. Even for enthusiasts.

  • Can't wait till the Cayman XT demo.

  • 400-500 gflops ? cant be

  • @3dkiller i think he means both the cpu and gpu combined in gflops

  • Looks damn nice, I hope that by the beginning of 2011 I will buy a Llano based Laptop, as the one I currently have despite having a nice CPU can't even run 1080P HD movies without lag every now and then(Intel GMA4500), So yeah hurry up AMD! :D.

    Also looking forward to HD6XXX.

  • its nice to see it works!!

i think the performace like a radeon 5650 but we will se benchmarks

  • does this come with its own power plant?

  • Lllllllaaannno!

  • 400-500GFlops :O

  • did i heard 400 GFlops? and will it be possible to connect a discrete graphics card to it?

  • @iIcredo There should be nothing preventing that, it's even reasonable to speculate on some Hybrid Crossfire if you have a lower end card(5400 or 5500), but at first these are just for cheap family PC solutions, and will be a lot better than what you would get with Atom + 3150, probably at the same price!

Also the CPU perf. of these should be the same as a Phenom II core.

  • @medallish it would be nice to have a Notebook with 1TFlop processing power.

  • Keep it clean please, this is a family, enthusiast, overclocker, and noob-friendly channel. Thanks.

  • @AMDUnprocessed Yeah because hardcore gamers get off at watching this..

..oh wait, they would. No lives, etc. haha. Also, on subject of video, very very cool. Honest. I am like this now -> O_O DUUUUDE.

  • @AMDUnprocessed Not that I don't agree with you about keeping it clean, but I'm pretty sure that you aren't given the rights to censorship for yours or any channel at all in the TOS for YouTube.

  • @radicalgarbage02

actually they are given the right. haven't you seen videos where comments or voting has been restricted? also, people can be banned from channels. amd is just trying to prevent feuds, they're not threatening anything

  • @schmidtbag True, but they're empty threats really is all I'm trying to say. They would have disabled comments if it was that bad of a problem. The comment made by AMDUnprocessed was unnecessary and obvious. I'm sure they could just quietly ban the offenders. There's no need to use weak scare tactics. I just find comments like that to be distasteful IMHO

  • @radicalgarbage02

i see what you mean, but amd doesn't want their channel to be distasteful. they also don't have the time or resources to just look at every single one of their videos and ban people who are trolling. at least they said "please" and "thanks" - they didn't demand anything. its like teaching a class and telling your students to keep their work clean and friendly. sure its obvious, the students know it but its a form of protection and authority that doesn't HAVE to be monitored

  • @schmidtbag Quite literally, whatever makes you feel better! :)

  • @AMDUnprocessed hugs

  • @Zachstar2000 What is wrong with your fail comment? 6000 series is not a rebranding. As we know, it is a new architecture. 67** are on 40nm but the rest are to be on 28nm. The new architecture shown for the 6000 series is already showing a significant performance increase over the 5000 series architecture. Mid 2011 is reasonable, and the reason is because the fab construction for 28nm wont be finished until then.

  • @mmstick The 6 series is in fact supposed to be a refresh and all manufactured on the 40nm process, 28nm is supposed to come with their next line up of cards. I also don't understand where you have heard that the 6 series outperforms the 5 series significantly, the cards have yet to be review by anyone..

  • @dchains from the specs given there not 28nm

  • @crimson177 Yes, the 6 series are no 40nm, that's what i said.

  • @dchains there's a leaked review, dude

  • @thanvuungvan Doubt it, you have a link?

  • Those were leaked, and could be fake, that being said, I'm not going to hold my breath, Already caved in for 2 480s, I regret it, AMD i want you back!!!

    x700, x800 AIW, 3850, 4870 user.

  • CANT WAIT!!!!

  • This is going to be great . . . for the next Xbox. Honestly, though, for everyone BUT gamers, this is gonna be amazing.

  • giga flops sounds funky lol

  • @lorddrakko1 maybe its billions of old mens floppy... ehem disks

  • ss s ss s s e e ee x xx y

    SEXY.
