  • Hmmm … If it's Mr. Hogan, it's very early in his career and most certainly before the accident. The transition from the backswing to the downswing is a classic Hogan move, but notice his finish. In his winning years he didn't have that dramatic flying left elbow on his follow-through. He kept it very close to his torso. (see his swing drill on the Ed Sullivan show to see what I mean.)

  • Anyone questioning this is Hogan....is not a real fan..thanks for posting!

  • No question that is Hogan!

  • It's Hogan. I'll bet it was color but someone wanted it to look older.

  • totally fake

  • Anyone that knows Hogan's swing knows that's him...

as a kid I could recognize a guy 3 fairways over once I saw him swing

  • Close but no cigar so doubtful this is really The Man. Seen about all available film re Hogan & never seen this clip before or mentioned anywhere. Besides the spectator clothing & Hogan swing of '30's don't exactly match up. Will eat big crow if authenticated.

  • hmmm … I'm not convinced that's Hogan

  • @fayette202 I am. that move is umistakable.

  • Great footage Lake, thanks for posting.

  • Wow....best view of transition I've seen. Thanks Lake for putting it up.
