ந comes before த as in பந்தம் (relation), ன comes before ற as in சான்று (example), and ண comes before ட as in மண்டை (head). You can easily remember this because this is the same order in which the consonants appear in க ங ச ஞ ட ண த ந ப ம ய ர ல வ ள ழ ற ன. Further, only the ந can come at the beginning of a word.
