he tries to kill you because "you know too much"

he does what serves the world best (he says "you.. you have doomed this world" when he gets defeated meaning he was actually doing something good). This and the fact that he kills elite DARK warriors, mages and rangers support the point he's not evil.

I've got to say, I'm still disappointed that Jagex sold by letting Nomad get away in the end, for th sake of lengthening the story line, rather than just letting the player feel totally rewarded for killing him. I know ultimately he's not a bad guy, but out hero obviously hadn't pegged it.

Tortoise out of food, kyatt summoned, myself left with one brew, and one dose of restore. The Max-1 attack imminent, I spam click the special attack for my Kyatt. I see nomad die, but at the same time he beat me to death during the berserk stage, apparently I was too late, I was standing next to Zimberfizz with the text box "You... have doomed this world." Yet I had to repeat. (I have yet to win.)

I always thought Nomad was weak, i mean he looked like an elite dark mage before his update, and I pounded those into dust during WGS, yet it turns out he can bypass prayer, hit straight 200s, 760s, and all your lp minus 1 and after all that, he just gets up and teleports away.

I just hope we NEVER get on Lathas' badside, imagine the custodian of CW after us. O_O

i actually thought nomad was one of the mahjarrat but it seems he isn't cus he didnt turn up in rotm... or maybe he still is but doesent think its nessesary to turn up on the ritual cus I read from the mahjarrat notes that one mahjarrat didnt come to the last ritual... i might be mistaken though.

Here's to clear things up with Nomad.

He got his power from the Soul Obelisk, which transfered soul energy into his 'throne' which fused with him. However, he seems to have access to Ancient Magiks, hence the freezing attack.

He might most likely be a good guy because his final words "You have doomed this world" might reference something really bad happening. He also was paranoid about assassins, thinking you were one too.

Got into a HUGE fight with a guy at Soul Wars arena today about Nomad.

My thoughts are that Nomad is either A Mahjarrat who was feigned loyalty to Zamorak, or a former follower of Zammy. Then he hears rumors of Zaros' return, or Lucien trying to become stronger, and takes over Soul Wars in an effort to gain strength to fight the Mahjarrat

OR he is wanting more strength because he knows, somehow, that a great battle is coming and only he could stop it.

Maybe he has something to say about Lucien's efforts to follow in Zamorak's footsteps, and soul wars was an attempt made by him to try to prevent that. Notice how when you defeat him he says "You...You have doomed this world..." Meaning that by defeating Nomad, there is now nobody to stand in Lucien's way.

When Nomad jumped down I drank a dose of saradomin brew. Followed by a super restore. I proceeded to attack until i need to brew again. I repeated that sequence until the strongest boss died. He was no match for me. He isn't hard with mostly maxed combat stats (all bar summon/prayer) also had no overloads. Brew/Res is the bet way to go against Nomad

I must admit, I'm looking forward to this boss... with only 3 quests left, I haven't found many bosses that challenging (Especially disappointed at the Balance Elemental...) so it'll be nice to fight a boss I have minimal chance of defeating =3

Oh wow, I have quite a story to tell about how I defeated Nomad. I wasn't even planning on fighting Nomad, but I was in edgeville and i thought I might as well try again (9th attempt). So I was, duking it out with Nomad. I had a few close calls (especially with regards to him healing), but I eventually got him to critical. Ran out of restores. Healed rapidly, tort hitting him. Ran out of brews. Gf. *Activates Retribution*

They've done it for the beginning part (tutorial) of runescape...now if only you could do everything else! Imagine Nomad with a deep BOOMING voice ringing "FACE ME" and him saying "pathetic" would sound so much more condescending.

Me and my war tortoise, I was down to only brews, with one dose of restore left.. Nomad is red-barred. He gets me to 11 HP - I brew, and then see my tortoise attack, and "You.. you have doomed this world." Thank god that War Tortoises have combat abilities. (I'm still convinced that Nomad was talking to the turtle and not me.)

Nomad is one tough bastard. Still trying to beat him. At least this means the Quest Cape is a whole lot more impressive now.

I hope Jagex makes a trimmed quest cape for the really hard quests, and a regular quest cape for completing the rest. I want those with the initiative to win these difficult quests to be rewarded and at the same time not alienate all those people who love quests but lack the combat ability for hard fights like Nomad.

to earn the quest cape, you have to master ALL the quests, including this one

later on in life, jagex will release quests 10 times harder than this one so be prepared, they won't make it a side-quest

Yes, there should be more challenges in next combat quests, but challenges should not rely only on statistics, levels and number of lifepoints.

There should be battles where you interact with surroundings or have a timer to do something specific.

Example: Batlle against Corporal Beast during Summer's End where you must keep running in circle and light fires or send back its projectiles on it.

That was an exciting battle. Would be awesome to see somethign even better.

You can't safespot him,

He hits FAST in is berserk mode,

He can hit a 98 AND ITS NON EVADABLE regardless of prayer.

You CANT use prayer, though if you do, protections will only reduce it by 5%.

So I think Nomad is VERY hard compared to Jad. Jad is NOTHING. I bet Nomad can 1hit him with that soul charge attack like this:
