  • Windows biggest partner is HP...... Even in Tablet

  • I think the user is the problem..... I have an HP laptop for over 3 years and I don't have a problem with it...... That's why I'm a fan of HP products.....

  • HP Sucks ass guys, never ever buy HP.. There is a reason that they have recently announced they are quitting PC business cuz they suck. I bought 2 ones and both died due to same reason. Complete crap.

  • THESE VIDEOS ARE HORRIFIYING, NO LAPTOPS SHOULD HAVE PROBLEMS IF THEY ARE MADE RIGHT, MY GRANDPARENTS FAN FROM WAY BACK WHEN HAS OUT LASTED MANY APPLIANCES & PEOPLE INCLUDING LAPTOPS, WHY? NO MYSTERY, IT WAS MADE RIGHT & TO LAST. THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A SINGLE PROBLEM WITH IT, I ALAWAYS LOOK AT IT IN AMAZEMENT. IT WILL OUTLAST ME AS WELL. THEY SHOULD MAKE FANS LIKE THIS IN LAPTOPS & YOU WONT HAVE THIS NONSENSE. WE NEED TO DEMAND BETTER PRODUCTS, WE ARE EXCEPTING CRAP.

  • This is currently happening to my Lapton dv5-1235dx

  • Everyone saying the nvidia chip is the problem. It's not true the dv4 1220us I have has an ati chip. This is a design problem with the hp laptops and there inability to effectively cool them, causing overheating and loosening of the sauter on the graphics card.

  • looks like a ram problem to me

  • Easy fix, reheat video card, so the solder resets itself, add new thermal compound and you are done my friend, fixed lots of them this way.

  • it's a Matrix code. you have to understand it

  • I HATE HP

  • cool laptop tv with no channels

  • es marca h.p.?

no se extrañen que esto es muy común en este tipo de marca. y no te devuelven el dinero.

  • Woa its the scary vid.

  • Not certain types of Hp laptops have a problem, but almost all Hp laptops have different kind of problems. Even newly released Pro Book s series are already showing some problems. And almost always the problems are factory based hardware or internal design problems. Dont buy Hp ever again. I hate Hp. If dont believe just google on network buy typing HP problems.

  • greetings. Tongo similar problem. in my case are only a few small scratches that after a while they leave. I believe that if the hit and walk is just a false contact. when the mine is placed so the desarmare and vere. but an auxiliary display would be the solution.

    google translator.

  • burn it i say lol not realy all you need is a 660 m nvidia its not modern but it plays fallout 3 with some lag runing fallout on 2gbs of ram and mem i saw that i have the dv 6000 ceo prototype i guess im lucky cus i use it about 7-8 hours a day and for 3 years with out any bsods or problems

  • I had exactly the same problem with my hp laptop g50. It got sent of to hp they had to replace the screen and all the connections! And i have had nothing but problems ever since! The answer is just don't buy from HP!!!

  • Just had my 12 month old HP do exactly the same thing and this is why i have posted my comment.

  • its a bsod just got messed up

  • lol my did that shit to u just have to hit the screem somtimes

  • I was recently informed that HP have offered a 3 year extended warranty on all DV series laptops - call em up and get them to repair it for free!! Although if they put the same Mobo in, surely it's gonna fail again after a year!!!

  • @GuyMagicFingers

this is only for certain models…….. mine died and they wont do anything……. I got told to pay for repair, or i can go to trading standards and take them to small claims court…… even though this is a manufacturing design fault not a warranty issue

  • yes, this is problem :D

  • its just the modil

  • I had the same problem with mine last night.

  • yea smack smack everything is going to become better when you do that!

  • motherfuckers hp .... same proble with me i have replaced 3 lcd but still they have this problem

  • Is the motherboard for sure

  • Dont hit please!!!!!!!!

  • Hp and lenovo y funcking

  • you got some problems about the video cards.. usually loptops are not build in for games and longtime using couz it can't stand the heat it produce.. it has a small heatsik that can't absorb all the heat produce by the ic's if i were you buy a desktop typ pc.. u can still repair it not like loptops if the problems are build it problems you can not reapair it no more

  • My last laptop (HP Pavilion Dv6510ep) had the same "happy ending", and I dont know why... I taked other, Pavilion Dv 5z - 1000, into now none problem occured, yet...

  • mine is doing the same thing! I gave HP a second chance and they failed. NO MORE HP forever!!!

  • fuck them...join my Facebook Group @ HP Laptops Suck!

  • I got the same model as this nothing like this but something similar when i start it it would start but not boot? waste of fucking money

  • same happens to me , i got the same model as yours and this happend so i sent to costume service and after 3 months i got my money back and bought a better model (still an hp) , and now 4 months later is starting to happen again, hp = nevermore

  • I have bought so many laptops from HP and they always seems to have problem with them.

Screen problem, over heating, screen going blank and so on..

    Product # HP Pavilion dv2817ca, Product # HP Pavilion dv5 - 1157ca

YOU SHOULD BE HITTING ON THE HEAD OF CEO OF HP COMPANY NOT THE LAPTOP

    NO MORE HP FOR ME

  • dude I got the same problem. Mine was something with graphic card. It displayed weird colors, and now it won't start.

  • yo dude, just a quick question, did you by chance had an Nvidia GPU? if yes then which series?

  • yea its nvidia... im pretty sure its the 6150GO

  • hey, thanks for the reply man. I dont know if you know this but there were a series of faulty nvidia GPU, that too in the 8 series and some in the 9 series. So maybe that would have been the issue, but although urs is a 6150! thanks for the reply.

  • no problem.. could have been the card.. they told me it was the motherboard witch they replaced at no charge but i dont know if they changed the card or if they considered the card as part of the motherboard.. they did me right though so i cant complain..

  • Buy a Dell!

    HP laptops sucks :(

I had an Acer, but it failed 7 weeks ago and I replaced it with a new Dell Inspiron 1318 on Monday :)

I love my new Dell (L)(L)x99999999999999999999999999

  • nope never

  • why???

    give me a reason.

  • cause i got screwed by dell 7 years straight

  • OK, thanks

    =P

  • Comment removed

  • eh?

  • overheating nvidia GPU is the cause.

  • it was actualy a broken connection on the motherboard.. the board its self was replaced.. they said they have a recall on them.. if it happends to yours they will fix it for free and also add a three month warranty on it for free.

  • Thanks for the info. Upon closer inspection, mine display split into 8 small screens without waterfall-like picture as shown in your video. The faulty nVidia geforce GPU is the cause. There's a silent recall (handle case-by-case) by HP.

  • @immeerad nice phrase: silent recall. Very true.

  • @immeerad i totaly agree with you but, since he tapped it its likely that its a loose cable that goes to the screen

  • Qual é o modelo?

  • looks like a defective video card, Acer for the win! hp quality controll appears to be nonexistant, while my Emachines D620 (Emachines owned by Acer) is right up there with Dell+Lenovo in build quality, and i know because i've owned ibms/lenovos and dells in the past, hp/compaq is the wors built brand i've ever owned, as soon as the 1 yr manufacturer's warrenty was up, it failed in a way that made it unusable, hence my purchase of my new $450 Emachines/Acer, the best under $500 pc ive ever owned

  • hm im surprised... thinkin abt gettin myself a voodoo envy 133 late this year but i was skeptical cause its a subsid of hp.

  • i wouldnt think too much into it since they are all junk even alienware and dell. just look for the features you want at the price that fits the budget.. Nothing worng with HP its just the computers that came out durring this time frame had some issues that didnt surface until later on.. anyone who has the problem i had can HP and they will pay to ship it to tham and back to you after the repair and automaticaly extend the warranty for 3 months even if its expired..

  • did you check the lcd inverter?

  • nah i sent it in and it was the motherboard.. i guess they have issues with bad solders.. oh well it didnt cost anything they even paid shipping..

  • gfx overheat? and or bad gfx solder points possibly

  • Isn't this the standard of HP's laptops? I mean, I had to replace the motherboard and many other components three times in my dv6000 last year. Never ever buy a HP laptop, hopefully I'll get it refunded since it's broken down a fourth time now.... damn, I hate you HP

  • I think you have a bad video card. My old laptop very similar to yours died, the graphics died and I had similar problems to what your having here.

  • If is was a the same kind of lap top and messed up the same way, then I suggest to get a different brand:)

  • Hmm...looks like you are having some kind of problems. Have you tried smacking it at all?

  • I have a pavilion dv600 and it works great im very happy with it i have had it for like 1 year and 8 months i have never had a laptop as good as this one :D and trust me DELL really sucks it's just a lame cheap thing BUY A HP YOULL LOVE IT!!!!!

  • that's the motherboard doing that.

I had a dell motherboard that wouldn't load the bios and just gave me the same flashing cursor.

  • What model is it? I'm thinking of buying an HP.

  • its an older DV9000... About 2 years old. great computer.. play game decent for its age. I leave it turned on most of the time and that might be why mine seem to die so soon. Hp said this series has a problem with faulty solders on the motherboard and even if your warranty has expired they will cover it anyways and then add a new 3 month warranty on it.

  • dot buy an hp... jesus god no dont do it

  • Thanks. I didn't buy an HP. I saw so many complaint videos about them, I said screw it. I got a dell, which works great.

  • Strange - it can be something with video card.

  • lol sorry

  • sending it to HP tommorrow. They said they would fix it free of charge even though the warranty has expired..
