Life sucks / is hard but after some 25 years of that I really wonder if it will ever be different. Did I miss something during all those hard years? Or is it still to come? Then it must be so wonderful I can't even imagine it.

I'm stuck in that state of mind by my own doing due to the way I've been brought up, it makes it hard for me to accept homosexuality to be. not wrong.

My mom and dad think being gay is a choice..They tell me to date guys and I made myself kiss one they wanted me to date, but I'm gay!! I can't even step into their house (not my home- those words just don't fit) and I get sucker punched by their ideals. My dad even told me he had a bf in hs--and he wont except me! maybe he doesn't want me to get hurt? but I'll get hurt no matter what. they're hurting me themselves and I need it to January so I can go to college campus. :)

I need advice about changing my moms view of gay people.. I'm a lesbian.. And just recently my mom told me people are gay cuz it is a defect! She still believes it is just a faze and I will get over it when I meet a guy.. How can I break it easier to let her know it is not a faze and I'm not defected?
