y is it that john newton thinks God answered his prayers? ru telling me no one else was praying on that boat? what if God was answering sumone elses prayers and it just happened he was on d boat? i guess God doesnt answer black slaves' prayers only white tyrants. Just tickling ur mind.

i see your point, you're probably right that others were praying too but i dont think that particularly mattered. as far as john newton was considered it was God's doing. and that was good enough for him. :)
