  • What a good conversation between the two of you. Why didn't we talk like this when we were working together?

  • Being authentic sure hasn't helped me one bit in getting a job. Employers want to hear what they want to hear. They are not interested in authentic people.

  • I love all this " new age" talks, ancient wisdom, specially from the Buddha teachings, but we need to keep in mind that we still need to function in this world, we can't go back to caves. We need food constantly and shelter among other things. We need to be very careful in what to believe. Who in the world has it right? Plz note that I am not attacking anyone, I do like a lot Adyashanti teachings, he is one of my favorite author / teacher. Peace.

  • @bunozen1 Only a very unclear person would suggest we somehow don't need food or shelter. I don't know any Buddhist teachers that aren't aware this is a constant concern for all of us, and no one is suggesting moving back into caves. Some people have more material freedom to pursue traditional practice than others, some less. But there are many people with plenty of money and time who waste it on buying more stuff, or watching tv, or going on vacations, etc. Seeing that is frustrating.

  • Thanks for asking this question, discussing it with adyashanti and posting this video. You'r question at start struck something thats been in my thoughts back and forth past few years. The duality, or the "in-between" as you say. Im still searching in my "in-betweens", but I feel more "good" about being in this state when I notice others are searching there as well. Im gonna watch this video again later tonight.

  • @jojojigaboo Read one of his books like "Emptiness Dancing" or "The End of Your World" and then please see if you can make this same statement. His books are staggering in their beauty and immediacy. I thought he was a blowhard too at first. I was wrong.

  • Fear is made of Love...amazing..thank you for that insight.

  • Thanks Phil!

  • Such a great reminder of who we are as a Being and as a Human...loved it!

  • This really reinforced what I have been thinking about lately.

  • beautiful

    adyashanti is the clearest

    thnx for uploading

I know exactly what you meant when u talked about your fear and how to deal with it. Really dealing with it feels like dying. Thats why it seems so hard at first

  • this is a beautiful dialogue, thank you for sharing!

  • nice dialogue! True stuff

  • Thank you for posting this. Being authentic is truly liberating indeed! Could fear be the part that has forgotten its wholeness? I have a saying.... "Love builds bridges, fear builds walls--no matter, love seeps through the cracks." By this I mean that love has no limits and can reach anyone anywhere. For me, when I am being authentic, I feel so child like and innocent. I feel complete. Adya is a godsend as are you. Thanks for sharing!

  • Thanks Phil

  • you sneaky son of a gun!

  • Omg! I was at this talk! I was the girl that asked about addictions to daydreaming! lol wow..... I remember when you spoke to adya!

  • And I remember you. I love a good daydream myself. :-)

  • stop all fucking perceptions...

    "be here"

be love... be fear... it all stops existing

either one is of the mind...

    mind only functions in "separation"

    love defined as love

    fear defined as fear...

    etc...

that mind separation/distinction/perception are aplyed to all in existance, thus; it manifests the separation that you see that..... this physical world consists of.

  • ur a lucky bastard, you met adya.

I love that guy...him and sadhguru really emphasized reality for me

  • ...darn! What was the simple example that he was about to give? :)

  • I was just about to comment, "Fear is love!" ...and then...at 6:15 into your session...there it was :) and I find fear beautiful. All is beautiful.

But sometimes we humans need to be reminded of that...the beauty...Phil, remember that is OK --to question fear, to question being free, etc....because questions come from your human emotions and the complexity of them are the most beautiful expressions, and yet sometimes, some of the most difficult to understand. ~ keep being alive! :)

  • Philip Thank You for sharing.
