I've heard that the "Star Wars" Saga will be release on Blu-Ray for the first time this fall, but it has some brand new bonus features, but it does not include the original "Star Tours" film after the ride shuts down last year. What a bummer!

One thing I always liked about this ride was when the Death Star explodes, if you looked at the rear-view screen of Artoo-Detoo on the right, you were able to watch the actual explosion. Also, when the shuttle kicked into lightspeed, the rear-view screen showed the reverse angle of the hyperspace flight past Artoo's dome. Very cool little details in that ride.

Wow i remember this from heart! Ive been on this ride about 20+ times!! Lol once i remember a kid that was in front of me asked the guy that worked thier if he could look for his hat that he left thier and the guy asked him when did you forget it here and the kid says last year lol true story!! I was laughing so hard!

Can someone explain how they simulate it going fast. This explains it moving from side to side, what about when it goes atraight.

When it goes straight, the simulator tilts forward & backward synched to the film.

Star Tours opened in July 1989 for Tokyo Disneyland, December 1989 for Disney-MGM Studios, and April 1992 for Disneyland Paris.

Nice Work!! lol, When I was Little, I was Really scared to go on this Ride, And my Dad and 2 Bros Said, "Let's see if your tall Enough to go on?" So they'd Take me to the Height Messure Thing, and I'd be tall enough And they'd say "See. You are" and I'd say "No I'm Not!" and Skwat down. lol, but Now, I love this Ride, I suggest for Who ever hasn't gone on it, GO!! It's a Blast!!

so video cameras are allowed just no flash photography? it's the one rule i've been pondering about...just wasn't sure =/

What you do with that is you hide the camera and take it out after all Disney personell leave the ride area.
