  • @Msredsoxfan12

It's when a Mormon from the church of latter-day saints goes to spread the word of Jesus Christ and convert people to mormonism. They can be sent almost any where in the world. By random.

  • whats a mission call?

  • I have Identical twins also, and right now they can't wait to get away from each other. (They are Deacons) So they didn't think this video was very funny! Although I thought it was great!

  • That was so sweet, so much love in that family!

  • wow! I'm from Santiago Chile , and served at the Viña del mar Chile mission!! amazing!

  • so what was the other news?

  • @kukri52231 The other news was which twin was born first. We never let them know which twin was "older", so they would always consider themselves equal to the other, not older vs. younger.

We promised them that when they received their mission calls, we would tell them. Turns-out Preston was born 3 minutes before Dalton.

  • my son just flew there to begin his mission two days ago. :) Vina Del Mar. What is slightly amusing to me is that his girlfriend just went to Guatemala and her name is Dalton. And my son in law's name is Preston. Way to go guys though you are already home.

  • my son just flew there to begin his mission two days ago. :) Vina Del Mar.

  • haha! thats awesome!

  • This is a very moving video which I'm watching in the Spirit of the Sabbath day. I love to see both boys so touched and filled with emotion. It's hard to describe the feelings of receiving one's call. A mix of excitement, fear and emotion. May the Lord bless these and every young LDS man and woman who give of themselves to building the Kingdom of God and bless the lives of people everywhere through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I still bless the names of those who taught me 35 years ago!

  • Haha, these two are totally my roommates right now.

  • GO FOREIGN MISSIONARIES. LOL!

  • wow well this is awsome, i am not planning on going, but if it comes up then yea i will go, but how was it for you guys learning another language?

  • Any updates on these Missionaries?

  • @scooterbugs25

They are keeping an incredibly positive attitude and are doing an awesome job! They are both serving as Zone Leaders in their respective missions. Their missions have been a great blessing in their lives, and in the lives of many they have taught the gospel of Jesus Christ. They wish they could stay forever, but are scheduled to return in November...

  • @purnelljd Awesome! I leave in November to Perth Australia. =)

    I LOVE THE GOSPEL!

  • Awwwww! That Was SOOOO Sweet! : ]

I'm off To BYU-Idaho in January As Well.. Not Too Far Then.

  • @Ktlc003 AWESOME! Good for you!! Come see us in BOISE some weekend, or the twins down in Provo haha! They are fantastic missionaries right now, and will have a little accent for a while, after they get back in November! haha!

  • @hottiecub They return in November 2010 - then off to BYU in January 2011.

  • the elders here that i help out everyday almost told me the story that the chile mission president got reveletion that there would be an earthquake in 2 weeks so he told all the missionaries and members to prepare and no elder got urt at all amazing,im trying to wait patiently for my call at the moment its tough cause im really excited.

  • thats awesome! you both got chile.congrats and have a wonderfull time:) god bless

  • wow, chile! i don't know if anyone will read these comments later, but there was a huge earthquake in chile yesterday... fortunately, all missionaries were accounted for and are safe! these two missionaries were there for that experience. my best wishes and hopes for their successful missions at a very uniqe time in that nation's history.

a lot of people will really need you elders now!

  • @silvershots2 My prayers are with them and all the missionaries and the families in Chile. Even though I am not LDS I have known many through out the years starting with my Year in the Air Force in Kunsan, Korea.

  • Dang! Look at all those cell phones. Makes me wonder how many cell phones we're going to use when I get my mission call!

    God Speed Elders.

  • My brother served in the Santiago North mission! But that was... 8 years ago now I believe. So fantastic to see righteous brothers receiving their mission calls!

  • Awesome! The happiness of the two young Elders is just way too cool! I hope they have great success on their mission(s) and that their homecoming is just as happy as their call! :)

  • So tender. aww

  • Hahahahaha, that is so cool. Hope they always have the desire to serve with there all their hearts!

  • great! hope ur sons are doing well! My dad's friends daughter, has an LDS friend, and when they were 12, which was the minimum age, they both went to one of those camps and cindy could invite someone along and she invited taylor, and when taylors sis came of age, cindy also invited her too, and i guess u could only invite one person, & i guess they made an exception since madison was taylors sis. every year the camp they went to was like a different theme every year as well

  • That was really great to see! :D

  • Thats cool they both are in Chile. I just put my papers in two weeks ago

  • What was the other news??? you left us hanging!

  • The other news was pretty huge too... We had never told them which twin was born first (i.e. older). Years ago we promised we would tell them which twin was born first when they got their mission calls! Turns out that Preston was born first....and as fate would have it, he won the coin toss to open his call first.

  • Aww wow, thats GREAT-Your Dad's funny..lol -So i guess u guys are leaving 2morrow: GOOD LUCK! My sister leaves next week..Loves em Missionaries..

  • Actually, they left a year ago... Nov. 5, 2009 was their 1 year mark! Good luck to your sis!

  • I can only hope My mission call Is as touching as this one.

    GOD BLESS

  • May I ask what is the significance of the white bracelets? Is that a family thing, or is it just the trend?

  • The white bracelets were a reminder from a church youth camp about the theme of the camp, i.e. "Always Temple Worthy" or something like that.

  • This was very touching to see. Thank you for sharing. It looks like you have a very close and loving family and I am extremely happy for you all!

(PS Are any older brothers not yet married?) You're a fun and attractive bunch.

  • Thanks for the support! Sorry, these guys are the oldest...

  • Thank you for sharing this special moment congratulations. I remember what it was like for me when got my call to the Australia Perth Mission in October 1982. Remember you are serving the Lord in the greatest work you could be doing in your young lives. A scripture Jacob 5:71-72

  • Awesome of you to share! Reminds me of my own!

  • Wonderful, touching video. Thanks for letting us share your family for a few minutes.

  • Awesome - thank you for sharing!

  • Awesome!

My twin brother and I had the same thing happen to us almost!

He went to the Mexico, Mexico City South Mission, and I went to the Mexico, Mexico City West Mission!

    The Lord loves His children!

  • i cant wait to go on my mission....chile....awsome

  • This was a really cool video to watch.

  • Ah that's cool! I remember when my cousin opened his mission call! It was just like this with all the phones and everything!

  • Wow Congratulations! That was way cool to see! I hope everything is going well! =D

  • I served in Chile Antofagasta...I LOVE LOVE LOVE Chile!!!

  • bro, this is a cool video, my cousin was sent on his mission a little bit ago, i just wish mormons would comment on my videos, instead of the those arrogant pricks(sorry for the language). i am looking into the religion myself congrats on the mission calls!

  • That is so cool! both got sent to Chile! Chile is a beautiful place, but out of the two I have to say Viña del Mar is prettier, right next to the ocean! I'm from Santiago Chile, and Chile is the best place in the world! :D congratz!

  • Congrats that is awesome!

  • Thats great. I also got twins... i wish they will also serve a full time mission 17 years from now. i love your video. God Bless

  • Thats soo awesome! My little bro went to the Phillippines.... God be with you till we meet again w/ ur parents elders!!

  • I converted when I was 16 (about 4 1/2 years ago.) I just got my call to the Chile Santiago East Mission. Can't wait to get there!

  • Cogratulations Elderes!!!! Chile is the best place to preach the gospel in over the world. Spanish is a good language and the chilean people, for sure, will help both of you to learn quickly our beautiful language.

Probably you will have a lot of baptisms, more than every place in the world. In Chile is the record of baptisms (100 in-a-month in Villa Pinochet, Santiago) and in my mission the record is 41 in-a-month. Come to Chile with ambicious goals to conver to all my country... Chao, Lucho.

  • Congrats Elders. My wife and I are both converts (Me 10 years, my wife 3 months). May the light of the Gospel shine through you both.

  • CONGRATULATIONS on your mission calls!!!! 7 years ago my twin sister and I also went on missions the same day. I went to Indianapolis Indiana and my sister went to Atlanta Georgia. Remember that you will be following in the footsteps of the gratest missionary and you will be wearing His name on your badge every day. Good luck!!!!!

  • thats awesome. i have two older brothers that are twins and they both got called to japan

  • "two boys, two calls"

this is incredible that these two are ready and prepared to serve a mission for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I hope you learn to rely completely on our Redeemer and God!
