3 second charge time, 50/60 feet, that is amazing! Im planning on making a hover craft that has two of these kick ass guns on :) When i say hover craft i mean like a floating platform, like a helicopter only with like 10 engines pointing downwards.

The coil can be wound any way and as long as the ball is placed behind the coil the flux will pull it through i wonder some times why dorks leave messages but then again i can guess that if it was not for dorks others would not shine

Im thinking of making a coil gun for my physics project, i have like 5 disposable cameras, I'm just wondering will enameled copper wire work a coil and what gauge is best?

Im pretty sure mine was enameled copper... 20 gauge - just be sure to strip the ends

For the capacitor problem all you have to do is take the capacitors off more cameras and wire them together

well generally they arnt the most powerful of guns so if it backfires it'll be no worse than if somebody poked you with a stick...

but as long as you don't wind the coil the wrong way round or seal one side of it then you'll be fine...

lol I didnt count just wrapped a whole spool of 22ga. magnet wire ;)
