The judging process of a body board contest consist of 3 things. Size, number of tricks, and performing tricks on a very critical spot on the wave continuing control. If it is small, which is 99.9% of contests the judges base the score on spins and white wash roles. ARS id executed while hitting the lip after the speed pocket, it is usually in a critical part of the wave, there is no such thing as over kill! always think

small: spin to win

Big: Air Reverse, inverts, rolls, long barrels and ARSes
