I grew up with Tinker at SDC! He was tradition in my family. We saw him several times every year for as long as I can remeber til the day he was gone. We even went and saw his last show.
I was watching Frosty the Snowman at SDC with my 3 year old cousin last year and when they read a letter from Tinker, I teared up. People were looking at me like I was crazy, crying at a kid's show, but if they grew up at SDC like I did, I bet they would have understood.
I only saw this show one time and it was a really great show for children. I am sorry that the park no longer does this show. I would love to see it return.
Dollywood was once Silver Dollar City - the two are related. In fact a lot of theme parks use similar vendors and a lot use the talking Christmas tree as a park character. And to set things straight - this is no knockoff - I wrote and directed this show and have never seen any other version. Neither have I seen it eat children.

i went one time during christmas and saw this thing and tlked to it and we were mean to it and it got sad but we were like 8

looks like it's a cheap knockoff of Silver Dollar City's Tinker. (which they no longer have, it's Frosty the Snowman now)
