i know a dude who sounds almost exactly like the leadsinger of this band. i even told him he sounded like this guy and he told me that rush was an inspiration for him. so i asked if he could do a song, and he played this one. best experience of my life!

See what I'm doing? The world -Jazz and Blues(Dramatically influenced, if not completely indigenous to America) = No rock at all.
@MrTheBigDaddyT are you really gunna leave out jimi hendrix who's considered one of if not the most talented guitarist in musical history ? biased much
@metallicarocks911 jimi hendrix,the door,lynyrd skynard,allman bros,bob dylan,molly hatchet,Elvis,all the motown groups and doo wop groups,.guns n roses,metallica,the outlaws,buddy holly,stevie ray vaughan,CCR,little richard,nirvana,alice in chains,buddy guy,muddy waters,howlin wolf,elmore james,smashing pumpkins,soundgarden,chuck berry,grateful dead,janis joplin,BLUES IN GENERAL,ROCK AND ROLL IN GENERAL, too many more to name
@mattyblues101 3 best classic Rock 'N' Roll bands; Pink Floyd, The Who and The Rolling Stones, they all have a nationality in common. Just thought I'd throw that one out there lol :P
Honestly, I aint patriotic, all countries are pieces of rock as far as I'm concerned :) Just gotta love the great music where you find it people.
@keithajackson80 Unpopular opinion coming up here, despite having some brilliant songs I've always felt Led Zeppelin to be somewhat overrated in my opinion. That's not to take anything away from them, I could certainly see someone arguing for Led Zep instead of the Stones, but I'm just not sold on them as completely as others really.
@UniverseIsPacman Jimmy pages guitar playing was at times sloppy and unrefined, but I honestly believe this was due to his drug use and later addiction. robert plants voice which started out incredible back in 69, was showing signs of wear by 72 and was shot by 75. Still between his singing, huge on stage presence, pages brilliance, jpj's underrated bass, and john bonhams sheer ferocity, not to mention their chemistry, they remain one of the greatest if not the greatest rock band of all time.
@UniverseIsPacman If you think. The Who,Stones,Floyd are the best classic rock bands thats cool..they are great... but remember america aint jealous of any fucking band or any other countries recycled musical reproduction of ours .. we invented the blues, rock and roll, jazz, doo wop, fucking everthing relevant..everything the great "foreign" bands got influenced by and build on .we created ...this is why people hate america...CAUSE WE ARE THE FUCKING KICK ASS
@MrTheBigDaddy Without the blues none of the bands you names or any other modern music would even been here...all those bands you names are top shelf no doubt about it ...thanks to blues/rock/jazz/RNB/country influence
@852urkl and you compare the motherfucking goliaths up there with the doors? dude, it's just one band. I'm not a brits lover or something, but face it: the britains rock like no other. sorry dude.
@MrTheBigDaddyT Interesting all of the bands you named would never have made it big without America and any musician will tell you that.
I have a few bands I would like to mention, Styx,Boston,Ted Nugent,The Eagles, Aerosmith, Bruce Springsteen, Metallica,Van Halen, Journey,Guns N Roses,Stone Temple Pilots,Nirvana,Elvis Presley,Bon Jovi,Red Hot Chili Peppers,The Doors, Blue Oyster Cult, and KISS. *All American* shall I go on?

@GhostsInMyAttic, excellent point, these bands would never have made it big without America. To stretch your point even further, I don't have a citation to back me up; but in the 80's Iron Maiden had a large merchandise empire and half of that stuff was sold here in the U.S.
@jrmolo I completely agree with you and little known fact is 90% of Canadians live along the U.S./Canadian border most of Canada does not have many places to play, A friend of mine is in a Canadian band and all he says is "we need to break into the American market" with America so spread out and so many states it is a musicians wet dream to get on a circuit here.
Iron Maiden was smart bands used to get rich off "merch" a good example is the rolling stones stores still sell their stuff.
@GhostsInMyAttic That's an interesting fact, all except for one of the Canadians I know all come from border areas of US/Canada. You're right about Canadian players, my circuit was New England, when I met Canadian players they all talked about coming down here. Even with the tribute bands, alot of Canadian players came down here to join tribute bands. As far as the Stones go, it is amazing how well they merchandise I wish I could make at least one percent of all that.
@mattyblues101 nice list of random american artists, most of which you probably just read or heard somewhere. Aside from a select few, most of those artists are nothing more than average
@mattyblues101 After all rock n' roll is an american invention. But the England took the idea and made it what it is today (Zeppelin, beatles, rolling stones, Sabbath, Deep purple etc.)

@johncenafan42792 what about tragically hip? the band? guess who? neil young? david clayton thomas? michael buble? we have more talented musicians that you think ;D
@metallicarocks911 I'm MAJOR jealous, because all the music in the U.S is crap. It's just untalented people who auto tune their voice, and they don't even use real instruments. They use a computer and make anoying techno sounds. I don't really know if they're any rock bands in the U.S. Maybe at some point there was, but nowdays, not really.
@metallicarocks911 AMERICAN BANDS: lynyrd skynyrd, steve miller, jimi hendrix, METALLICA (LOOK AT YOUR SCREEN NAME), bad company, 3 doors down, nirvana, megadeth, PanterA, slayer, van halen, stevie ray vaughan, johnny cash, eagles, queensryche, david allan coe, waylon jennings, HELLYEAH, tom petty, allman bros, doobie bros, bostan, aerosmith, hank williams (SR/JR/III), rebel son, rebel meets rebel, elvis, motley crue, ect.
J***** B***** IS CANADIAN! HAHA! good rock is good rock wherever it is!!
I cannot understate how much the line "Put aside the indignation, and get on with the fascination, the real relation, the underlying theme" makes me smile, ear to ear. :)

I cannot understate how much the line "Put aside the indignation, and get on with the fascination, the real relation, the underlying theme" makes me smile, ear to ear. :)
