Hi there, I just watched a demo from louie simmons who created this machine...in the demo Laura Phelps does hyper flexion with a swing and allows the hips to tuck under and also using momentum to bring the weight up... Is the creator wrong? He talks about the effectiveness of the ROM (hence allowing the swing)
On the rev hyper, on the way down, why is there a pause, which is then followed by going all the way down (i.e. seems like 2 separate movements)? What is the purpose of that? Great video btw .. very informative .. *****
The goal is to increase time under tension and optimize the hamstring and glute contraction with a powerful squeeze. In the video, you'll see my feet lower slightly at the top squeeze, I would rather see the weight not move at lockout. Check out Eli (the guy in the red) do it correctly.
Squeek....squeek...sque..squeaaak. :)

Reverse Hypers are worth their weight in gold. All give gratitude to the inventor, Louie Simmons of Westside Barbell, Columbus.

Smitty- if you don't have a partner for manual resistance, what do you think about using a band?

Definitely bro. You can use manual resistance, a band or even a db held between your feet.
