How long can you play as a chicken?

all of the quests are timed. I think the hard ones where you have to travel far will give you up to 8 hours to complete. The first couple of quests, you have to complete in one hour

are there any other places you can be a chicken? ive seen chickens as far away from the shire as the north downs

You have to start in the shire but it gives you different quests. And with every quest, it sends your chicken further and further. Some of the quests I am familiar with are where it sends your chicken to North Downs, Lone Lands (to Radagast) and to Rivendell. It is a challenge as a level 1 chicken to not get killed in Trollshaws. LOL... Good luck in the game!

You have to go to Sandson farm along the road north out of Michel Delving. There are a serious of short quests that you have to do to get access to Chicken Play.
