l don't know what to believe ,the most genuinely informative music magazine out there today ,or you guys ,l'll have to get back to where l stored my MOJO collection and find the obituary ,l guess l'll start from 7 / 2011 , l hope your right bro , but l just don't know....
l would love to beleive Tom wis still with us ,unfortunatly l read a very responable obituary ,detailing his losing his battle with cancer a little over a year ago , and MOJO is a pretty respectable music journal . Years before Johnny Thunders died , l read he died and was pleased to find out he wasn't dead, once l even read Les Paul was dead ,before he actually died too , but alas ,l'm pretty sure Tom has left us . Just to be safe say a prayer for him, an l'll be praying your right ,an l'm wrong
Trance music extraordinaire. Have heard so many versions of this song now and it was never the same, and always stunning. The song is so beautifully structured and the solo is always built up so well. It's 30 years ago since I first heard Marquee Moon and it has never bored me - and it never will. Thanks so much for sharing it.
GOOD OL TOM ,I don't know how many times l saw him , high in the double digits for sure ,his passing hurt dearly ,l still have a poster advertising the SOHO News with his picture on it hangin at home in my heart ,good times ,good music ,and good people , all must in time pass on to make room for the new , but the artists will live on ,in our hearts ,and our world ,forever , thanx for the music Tom.....

Tom Verlaine is not dead. He still lives in NYC, and tends to live a quiet reclusive life outside the spotlight and outside of public attention.
