  • thats hot :3

  • How u like that Cat Paver ??

  • Very cool

  • The raker shouldnt do anything all day on main line except in the morning on take off and in the after noon when u pick up..and thats a 10 ft. to 19'6 screed.

  • you heard right................we put idiots under it, no smell...............drive thru St Louis, I'll be watching, got a new highway going in.......see ya dude

  • Seam? Tell the raker to stay off the joint, run rakeless, and have a good break-down man. I saw a Blaw Knox 500 with a round, rotating brush mounted on the joint-match wing that eliminated the raker, but a raker is unnecessary on the highway anyway. Gotta love TopCon!!!

  • i can do dis shyt wit my eyes closed haha

  • Whats the trick to getting a tight and un-noticeable seam??????

  • Hot asphalt & a good join raker ..

  • Yeah...raking is no prob, I was just thinking if there was a better way to do it with a paver. Heat is always a problem to maintain.....

  • if you have a tire roller get the tire in the center of the join that usually does the trick

  • @tjsage79 optimally you'd run two pavers so youre hot matching. get on it hot with the breakdown, or have a good screedhand

  • Its called an Asphalt overlay it is when you apply 1.5 Inches of Wearing Course over the Existing Roadway Surface.

  • are they paving over the old stuff?

  • this dhighway guy is a nigger lovin jew polesmoker

  • yeah pit its called segregation! #1 reason for a shuttle buggy to reduce asphalt segregation and never stop that machine, you idle down the paver and lose hydraulic pressure, screed settles instant bump.

  • nice crown, thats the type of production my companies "Leeboy 8500" only masterbates to in its dreams

  • This is so AWESOME video!!!!!

  • dont see the problem with truck backing up ... if you think it leaves a bump there only if it smashes extremely hard into pave which would cause screed to gouge what was just laid.. you dont need auger extensions if the ashphalt is getting there whats the problem? not all roads need tack over rated product in my opinion again different specifications for different jobs. the only thing i saw was that the raker man was sloping the side of the joint???

  • gotta have tack i mean if u r laying on dirt sure no tack i never seen any job that dont call for tack if its asphalt to asphalt bond....and bumping is not really a factor but really need to be moving just incase the trucks brakes dont stop him good enough..and the extensions really just help wear and tear on the machine and gives a better looking mat the augers have to work very hard and the head of material tend to be a lil big without extensions

  • Yes pitbull is correct.......Tack is a must for asphalt to asphalt.....The only exception being if you are doing back 2 back lifts the same day

  • You're probably used to running a screed with front mounted extensions, this is the old barber-green Extend-a-Mat 10-20 screed with rear extensions and you don't need auger extensions. I will have to agree that I don't see any tack and the asphalt they're overlaying is to light colored to be new enough to go hot on hot.

  • no we have the same screed.....it is a rule here if u r extended out over 3 feet u have to run augers....less wear and tear on the main augers and less segregation and over feeding of the mix.....just helps the look and ride of the mat

  • well i got a few questions....looks like the truck backed into the paver without it moving witch is a nono.....i dont see and auger extensions on there when u go out past 3 foot u really need some....and for some reason i dont see any tack on the road....and the way u r running ur gate on the right side seems like it would leave a hard joint to run on the next pass...other than that the mat looks great....holler back at me

  • all the states have different rules and guidelines about paving.
