Bigger engines can be better but a great deal of the time the extra weight can really let you down. The Tritons are good but the IFS can really let you down in tougher 4WDing situations. The Hilux does look pretty shocking like that but once you throw on a bash plate and a bullbar they can look flash as a rat with a gold tooth. A 2 or 3 inch lift, diff-lockers and 33inch tyres would see this car going almost anywhere a normal person would want to go

because u get twice as much hp and torque which u need to get over certain obstacles, a 390 v8 is gonna put out enough hp and torque to push it trough anything, as long as u have it balanced

I think that you are talking about the 3.2 turbodiesel engine?It has a bigger engine but is has 163hp hilux 171 hp (in my country 163hp) l200 torque is 348nm and hilux 360 (in mi country 343) but the hilux with smaller engine has better performance,fuel consuption and desing than the l200

the performance version is now a 2.5L model (I know this looks stupid but I assure you its true) now for the l200 though I forgot the name of the exact engine and specs... But the new hilux and mitsu look horrible compared to the older hiluxes, by the way the hilux got a war named after it too :) (toyota war)
