@TRCrews Neither Hal Ashby (the director) nor Bill Gunn (the screenwriter) get enough recognition these days. Their work, together and separate, is incredible and the fusion of the two in this film leaves them indistinguishable to me. To paraphrase an article about Gunn, both of them were eulogized while still alive.
the finger snapping, for a second there I thought they were about to play "Car Wash" This movie has some powerful dialogues. Great script, i'm liking it.
that film is a unique treasue:)
