@dzjazz If you don't mind, could you provide me with information on where you found that the sounds are from psr models like the 7000. Every where I read, even on the product pages, say that most... of the sounds are from the motif series, but it did not say all the sounds were from the motif series. Thanks in advance.
it will play, but, the defualt instrument for a pc to play a midi file with is a grand piano. so any voice you select on your keyboard will not be kept. itstead it will be changed to grand piano when played on your computer.
@KJEboys - bit late answer, but, YES one can load PSR styles into the MM6, though only one at a time, from USB-stick, there is only one slot for user patterns, no.169, it does make use of the psr-3000, and lower series, not Tyros styles though, they may sound strange, there are a lot of free PSR styles to download on the internet.
I highly Recommend the MM6 for anyone who wants an entry level workstation, though there some things i would change on the Keyboard, the mm6 is way better than the PSR series or entry level keys
the sounds on mm6 are from the motif series check yamaha's web site. FACT

you can put standard midi files on a usb stick, put it into the keyboard and hear it as you would any of the default styles.

The onboard drum patterns are so many, you can even change your key signature and style.
