I had somebody else "Scope the Room" and that way Edward sparkled.

When You are one sim and you click on yourself, and option will say Scope room. Then the sim will start looking for another sim who could be their boyfriend/girlfriend. That sim will start sparkling.

You have to buy a medicine cabinet which is under miscellanios, (the three dots) in the place where you buy painting and stuff. Then your sims can brush their teeth and wash their face.
