A republic that was truly acting in its citizen's best interest would educate that citizen to the highest standard, it would provide a firearm and firearm training to every single citizen, a tradition that would become a family right, handed down from one generation to the next. Denmark, for example.
Its called "problem reaction solution" They create a problem (9/11, 7/7 etc) wait for a reation (fear) and invent a solution (ID cards, cctv etc) the solutions are always at the expense of freedom in exchange of perceived "security". It makes me sick that people are stupid enough to fall for this crap.
So he was a 'terrioist' all along then? Yea right, no such thing as men like him, there told to do it first and plan it with the government. Good vid though, lol!

The guy obviously had and has something to hide. ID cards, biometrics will help to stop these criminals. If you have nothing to hide, then you have no need to worry.

And so many in their "private lives" plan and commit terrorists crimes or other criminal activity. If we can't control these criminals who commit crimes against humanity, so many more will suffer. The ID's will help to identify them and action can be taken before they commit their murderous activities. People are already trapped in a world of fear; it's like a prison. ID cards will give people some peace of mind. ID cards do not take away your freedoms, just as camera's don't. It's just an ID.
Privacy is a freedom. The right to be left alone, the freedom from obligations, expectations, eyes. Please explain how it does not take away our freedoms?
Your logic is flawed, therefor the only way You will succeed is by force. Not by commenting. And good luck with that.
I don't need luck mocari, the game is already in play. If you really think you can avoid ID cards, biometrics, etc, then you are delusional. Maybe one more big attack to threaten everyone's "freedom", and people will be begging for their freedoms to be taken away for security of their life. If you don't see the world as it is, then you are blind. ID cards do not take away your privacy at home, so get over it. Commenting, movies, disasters, it all adds up to the inevitable. You can not win.
I wonder if in the 7 months since you posted this badly misguided comment, if you have studied the history of government oppression? They amass power at the public's expense, taking, taking, taking, and never once giving back a single freedom that they have excised. They don't know any other way. The citizen should always be in the "master" position to his or her govt., but unfortunately that requires involvement, which apparently is too much ask for a dumbed-down society addicted to the telly.
Let's start with you then, shall we? Let's tell the government everything about you, your family, your income, health records, criminal history, religion, etc. Just in case you decide to become a criminal at some point. And if you don't have proper ID - you can't buy, sell, get health care, a job. There's already cameras everywhere with face recognition, so fuck it, right?
I want this video on my DV80 unit.
