Good day mouth pieces of Leviathan, the day is coming when all of you will eat your money and credit cards; you will go outside to eat grasses and you will drink waters in canals. You will become paranoid, trembling day and night, you will die insane, hopeless because you cannot hear this simple word: REPENT!
I dont see the backlight (tail lights) in the commercial at all. In 1988 they had chrome (aluminum) bumpers and no ellipsoid lights (if its not a cabrio). Plus in the beginning of the ad, you see a graph with the years. The graph passes year 87, heading towards 88, and fades into the street, which leads me to believe they are advertising the 88 model.
Correction: I think the 88's and 89's came with the Ellipsoids. I have an 88 Cabrio with a build date of February 15th, 1988 and it has Ellipsoid Headlights.
Actually "ellipsoid" headlights were introduced mid year in 1988. I have a 1988 with "ellipsoids" but my owners manual only discusses how to change a seal beam. So this vehicle is an 88 or earlier model, NOT A 1990 model as in 1989 they switched to plastic bumpers. For a 1990 325i to have a rubber bumper like that, it would need to be a convertible, in which case this one is not.
Just like mine, only different colour (mine is bronzitbeige metallic)! Great car

Youre awesome! Thank you so much for posting this! Got any more e30 BMW ads?
BTW, I think that model might be an '88

87's & 88's had "Ellipsoid" headlights. The car in the ad doesn't so it is not an 88
