pretty amazing to see your chiclids behaving so serene, i might try the same thing with the "antenne baarsje" now I've seen the possibillity of non-malawi/tanganyika chiclids living in familly groups like these. good job creating this miniature ecosystem, probs!
@MrDvdok: I don't know if the current stock of Mikrogeophagus ramirezi, the ones that have been bred in captivity would do as well in a group as these, but chances are good they will. This tank is actually more than 700 litres with dozens of hiding-places and room enough for multiple couples to have nests at the same time.
If you have a big tank, you might start with two males and three females and see how it develops. Remember that Rams like acidic water with low microsiemens.
