Well, either way the Smithereens came together on Pat.. So did the cheeseburgers! Steroids don't make you gain weight You gain weight if you give into the appetite which the predisone cause. Thank you for your comments. As a huge R&B fan I had never really listened to groups like The Smithereens until I heard the "Blues Before and After", went out and bought the "11" album. sooner like 35 years ago as I would have seen them live in Santa Cruz on the 4th of July. They really are great, especially live in concert. There are certain bands that I would pay to see in the past 35 years, this band is definitely one of them. They have everything of what a true and great Rock and Roll band should be, They're smooth and clear with a unique and excellent sound, They are the hardest working band in rock. Yep, that was my first original comment with this awesome live video versus the studio music video clip - the lead singer's weight has ballooned but his voice is still superb. Never got to see them as traffic over Highway-17 from San Jose to Santa Cruz on the Friday before the 4th of July weekend was horrendous. That is until I did some research on this site of who this band is and what songs they played. They are performing live today free at the Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk.
