dont' forget to feed the meal worm something good for a couple days after you purchase it from the pet store. they usually feed them newspaper or something else that's not so tasty
I'd feed mine any cracked grain or meal, like oatmeal, or cornmeal, or bulgur, with an apple or potato cut in half for moisture. Those tiny nearly dead mealworms from the petstore fridge plump up in days to vigorous crawlers. If you are keeping them longer than a few days, you need bedding. It can be more than the cup of meal or grain you've placed them in, and it can include newspaper. I just used leftover seed or grain or cereal.
