It's sad that she will never be able to see her parents or her sisters or little brother again. :( I think it's odd in this film version how she doesn't seem to be affected at all by the fact that her entire family is dead and the only living relative she has left is her grandmother. She does remember them by the end of the movie. I just always thought that was strange.

With the amnesia, she had to mourn people she didn't even truly know, and the fact that she was done mourning them by the time she remembered isn't all that strange.

There was a rumor that perhaps Anastasia survived, and it was believed partially because the grave site location was not released until the nineties. In 2008 they conclusively decided through DNA testing that everybody in the family was accounted for and they were all murdered and nobody escaped. The charred remainds of the son and one of the daughters were found near Ekaterinburg.

@AussieAngels02 about 6 years ago they found her body, they uesd DNA testing to confirm it was her..........they couldn't find her body for the longest time because she was baried her a couple meters away from the rest of her family

@fanfave101 n a special i watched a while back the family including her was found in a shallow grave with blunt head trauma to most of them. the older daughter and one of the sons were found elsewhere but none escaped. there's many accounts of what happened. I enjoyed this movie alot as a child and still do now even though this fox versions a fairytale

The song and movie made me sad, Anastasia had had such a happy familiy once upon a time, but everything is now long gone, their once home is deserted and ruined. All she had was some memory she even doesn't really remember.

Of course in real life everyone including Ana herself had died, I'm really happy Disney at least gave her a home and happiness.

The annoyance with disney is they try and make the princesses "relatable" and then they're anorexic skinny (Not bashing anorexics since I am one) But they always get the prince. and the whole thing that pisses me off is irl you may never find the prince. And Disney isn't trying to teach kids that you'll find your prince in real life; they're trying to tell good stories and make lots of money.
