The Temperance Seven are great and I like all their various line-ups . I wish I had the whole of this programme on DVD. I read that Ted Wood was the brother of Ronnie Wood from The Rolling Stones. Quality!
this clip comes from the german tv show musik laden in 1974 -it was their top of the pops - we finished the show with your driving me crazy- nobodies sweetheart was done as the credits rolled - ted wood - boy deeble on sousa-. will hastie clarinet -bert murray on piano- bobby mick on trumpet - bill greenow on baritone- jim shepherd on trombone and myself dr collicott on percussion- it was rather frantic as we have a short slot but we crammed it with gags etc but good fun
Dear Fritz51329, Thank you for putting this video clip of The Temperance Seven. The personnal is as follows. Ted Wood, Vocals. Bobby Mickleburgh, Trumpet, Swanee Whistle. Bill Greenow? Trombone. Will Hastie, Clarinette. Malcolm Everson? Sousaphone. Unkown, Baritone Saxophone/ Alto Saxophone?. Bert Murray, Piano. Dave Mills or Chris Hook in the stuffed shirt playing the Console Kit. The next tune is called Nobodys Sweatheart Now. More clips of The Temperance Seven on YouTube.
Top Class! This is gold for any Temps fans out there (not many I guess) It think the vocalist is Ted Wood, Brother of Art (The Artwoods) and of Ronnie (Birds, Faces, Rolling Stones)

What sort of Temperance seven is this! Is it a tribute or an insult to the original guys who took the pop scene by storm back in the 1960's?

The original sousaphone player was Cliff Bevan.

@johnandjosy : "Count" Clifford (de) Bevan played piano in the 1961 line-up. Sousaphone was handled by Martin Fry (a.k.a. Franklin D Paverty).

Small correction - the "Grand Percussion Kit" - which is still in use in a Temperance Seven style band to this day - is played by Graham Collicott.
Love this clip. Is there any more of this session. If so I would love to see it posted
