  • Hahaha the way Rorschach ate those beans skeeved me the fuck out

  • my rorshach eats jackie earle haley's for breakfast...and easily.

  • this link sucks now that no one can post on it

  • Wah wah..wah-wah-wah...Wah wah...wah-wah-wah....those of you who believed??? Welll YES in fact I should have played Roshach...and SHOULD STILL...if they remake the Watchmen...and the movie doesn't suck like the "real one" did. Further more...for those who didn't...suck a pig shitfaces....my brooklyn accent was superb..my choices were flawless....and if you don't like it...we'll fight.....after you fuck off.

    --Michael Mason Blair

  • Still brilliant.

  • Why the fuck does it takes so long for him to pull down his mask?

  • Wow, Niteowl really let himself go.

  • I love the good ol' brooklyn accent for Rorschach.

  • This Rorschach kicks Jackie Earle Haley's ass

  • That night owl is one gosh darn good actor

  • Jesus Christ, how long does it take to walk home

  • @MrGish1 About 2 minutes and 23 seconds.

  • @firewing5621 Interesting. Interesting.

  • That's a fat owl...

  • Good job with the cinematography. Although, I think the actor who played Rorschach should have been creepier, would have been cool if he had made his voice deeper. But, good job overall. =-)

  • i loled at the cardboard cutout smiley face XD

  • They had a 1.000.000 dolar budget, but the 99% was for Nite Owl´s food

  • Super-Fat Owl OMG!

  • Fat OWL

  • Nice clip

  • @xanyleon Nice Fat OWL

  • that was fantastic. alot better than the film. can i ask what music you used halfway through?

  • Car Chase from the soundtrack to A Beautiful Mind.

  • cool vid. i need to read watchmen again.

  • Decent ,work on the costumes and props lighting and use some filters or something and it would be great.

  • its good but you made 1 flaw he used a fork not a spoon

  • Holy shit that was good I mean real good why couldnt you have directed the movie I mean damn that was good I realy like that voice of rorschach i mean I LOVE jackie earl haleys version but that was actually like smart of you to think of that although something funny i think he kinda sounded like hooded justice in the motion comic lol but seriously great job If you ever have a chance to do another you should becouse that was just awesome kudos man.

  • I want more. Give me more now!

  • I loved your take on Rorschach's voice.

Alan Moore did make his interpretation of it gritty, but this makes it much more interesting.

  • I also like the use of the music from Batman Returns briefly. =)

  • As for Rorschach, I loved the actor playing him in this, he did a fantastic job. Even though I saw the film before I read it, I sort of like this voice better.

  • I liked the film, but I agree, it had a very different feel to it. I obviously preferred the novel over the film, because of it's sheer originality and ground-breaking effects, besides the fact that the film left out some very important scenes. This was a fantastic short film. Great work.

  • This was excellent. You guys truly captured the correct mood and atmosphere from the book.

The problem with the film was that barely any of the actors hit the right personality. the film didn't have the right mood like this 10 minute piece did accurately.

I wish people like you actually made a real film adaption.

  • meh

  • A good interpretation of a good scene from a great comic. Well done boys. :)

  • Very sharp. I would have liked more dramatic lighting but It played just right.

  • I really enjoyed this adaptation a lot, don't listen to what everyone else says. I actually preferred Rorschach's voice in this better than the Christian Bale wannabe, raspy voice some people seem to prefer. Although with volume and character, this version's Rorschach's voice was still true to the comic and monotone. I love it. A+

  • Dreidburg was spot on.

  • The intro was a little too long, and it was a bit too bright, but otherwise I liked this. I liked that Rorschach had a New York accent, I guess I'm not the only person who'd wondered about that. Cool video!

  • The music selection fits the movie better than the real movie because the real film had too much fast/rock music which makes the movie look like somthing it's not.

  • cool! I see the movie's used some of your shots in that scene actually, so kudos for that!

    Some problems though were:

    the intro was too long,

    the overexporsures,

and not enough darkness (but you can fix that through color correction in editing).

    Hope it helps

  • the guy playing rorschach sucks

  • This was made way before the movie!

  • what the fuck has that got to do with anything fuckwit

  • Fuckwit? haha wow, is that the best you got? lmao, Anyways you cant say "the guy playing Rorschach sucks" because this was made even way before the movie was shot, so this was made in honer of the book, witch you could pretty much do any voice. Thats what they did with the film, they wanted Rorschach to be dark. Here in this fan film he talks like a mobster.

  • He has a Brooklyn accent. Walter Kovacs psych profile had him growing up in Brooklyn, I believe. That's where the idea for the voice came from. Just our interpretation. Jackie Earl Haley was incredible as Rorschach. The way he moved, the way he spoke, was everything I ever hoped for in an adaptation. It was different from ours, but that is to be expected. The gruff Rorschach and the Brooklyn Rorschach are both valid in my mind. Thanks for the watching and for your continued support. Cheers.

  • great work!

  • this is cool, just like the movie. and comic.

  • I hated the music at first, but it really grew on me. Good job :)

  • That was pretty good. Great job, i'd give it an A.

  • pretty good faild on some stuff but still kool

  • how did u do on ur assignment by the way?

  • I think I got an A.

  • fat night owl is how it should have been, even in the comic. People get fat when they do shit all, For me it would have added a whole interesting/unique backstory. I actually really like this video. Great job dudes.

  • great job on this.

Im not comparing this to the movie because when you came out with it the movie didnt hit the big screen. Ha I got to say you did a good job on the costumes.

    Good job over all.

  • aaaaaaaah I hate that rorschach voice!!!

i can imitate the zack snyder's rorschach voice

    hahah

  • Rorschach: bad actor

Nite Owl: not too bad. not profesional but still pretty good

  • i must admit, i like your take on Watchmen a lot better than snyder's. Good job with setting the tone. ^_^

  • except night owl isn't 400 pounds

    nice try tho (n)

  • 03:27 "Rorshach?" LOL he's like watching at him for some seconds and only then asking "Rorshach"? :D Hilarious bad acting

  • The only thing I didn't like was how Rorschach had a weird voice. It should

have been more grovelly than it was.

    But, that's just my opinion.

  • wow pretty good. o.o I really liked it.

  • BRAVO!

5/5 gr8 performances from Both Dreiberg and Rorschach

  • Pretty good. Although he should have pulled down the mask earlier, and the voice should have been groanier.

    Still awesome!

  • Nice directing!... good job!

  • Go for it. Knock yourself out.

  • sorry, i didnt mean to knock your fan-film, comment withdrawn......(i do have a better costume though)....

  • lmao he took too long pulling the mask down, and the voice doesn't fit

  • He kept his mask up way to long, by the time Dan said "How have u been keeping?" He shouldhave been pulling the mask down

  • The guy who played Rorschach sounds like a soldier in the Godfather

  • i liked. good vision

  • rorschach's voice doesn't suit

  • good job playing niteowl.

  • he's meant 2 b fat

  • the old niteowl is meant to be fat not the new one

  • Nicely done!! Nice use of The Last Samurai soundtrack too X3

  • This was pretty amazing! Really loved the interaction between the two and the ending was quite slick.

  • disgusting.

  • I really liked it but c'mon, you could at least try with Rorschach.

  • I like this, actually! It's low-key but well done, plus I like Rorshach's voice here (although I enjoy the gravel voice that Jackie Earle Haley has in the film).

The intro's a bit long though- had to fast forward a bit.

  • this is actually quite good

for amateurs and stuff v good

intro is a bit longwinded tho lol

  • I thought both actors did very well with their characters and I think I prefer Rorshach's voice here than in the official movie. I felt when they were in the basement their could have been more movement, it felt stiff and scripted. I'm not sure if you intended it this way but I've always felt in the comic there's a great deal of sexual tension in this scene, and it played through very nicely. Perhaps it was simply Alan Moore's words, but at any rate I thought this was very well done.

  • I hope to see the scene with Silver Spectre II in the nite owl.

  • this is actually great i have read the book twice now and you brought a great likeness to the characters. good job.

  • Looking at some of these comments,

    you all should realize that

looking at the video, this was made in 2007...

While the Watchmen Movie was at 2009 Which makes this even more impressive,

Rorschach could have easily had this accent than the latest adaptation.

and the Actor for Dan is great!

and music great to boot, I rather had this type of music than some of the odd song choices they've created in the Watchmen Movie.

  • Actually, the movie itself was made in 2003.

  • Thanks for the kind words.

  • I finally got to see this! The recent movie left out the sugar fix. Took Frank to see it. He never read the graphic novel, but enjoyed it just the same.

  • lol somebody trew him out of a window

  • very good job. liked this a lot. hope you did well on your assignment.

  • this is very good. if Rorschach had the Gravely voice it would be spot on.

  • Hey, that was pretty good, congrats on a nice adaptation. =)

  • nice

  • Great Atmosphere!

  • I thought Rorschach's actor here had a good deal of potential. It's the post-movie shit that has everyone wanting Rorschach to have an uber-deep voice. Dan's actor was good, as well. He'd be a good addition to most movies.

  • It was kind of apparent in Rorschach's speech bubbles that he would have a gravelly voice.

  • I know. I was referring more to the people who have only seen the movie than the fans of the comic.

  • I thought the actor playing Dan was good. Rorschach on the other hand...well, I give you props, but it's hard to really get his character spot on. You need the gravely voice, you know?

  • harsh.....

  • oooooh very good!

  • Very like the movie as well

  • Absolutely Wonderful!

    5/5

    You rock!

  • Vioku . com got the full movie

  • That was great. Though Rorschach's voice should've been deeper, but that's okay. Keep up the good work.

  • Me ha gustado, estaría bien que adaptarais más escenas.

I liked it, I hope you adapt more scenes.

  • Some of the best amateur filmmaking I've ever seen.

  • best quality on vioku. com good movie!

  • great choice in music ^^

  • che cazzata

  • Comment removed

  • rorschach needs a darker voice, here he sounds like a new yorker lol still very good work

  • Rorschach -is- a New Yorker.

  • howd you make rorshach mask?

  • Go to Vioku. com to watch the full movie

  • good rorshach costume too!

  • very good acting from the both of ya

    =)

    good job mate!

  • it was pretty good, except that when daniel walked in and stared at rorschach...the rorschach spoke...THEN daniel was all "RORSCHACH!?: --like someone else would wear the outfit. lol

    Otherwise damn good stuff.

  • last night I went to watch it, and was good, although it got me a bit confused at the end..

go to vioku. com and watch the full movie

  • Horrible Rorschach! Not bad of a video.

  • rorschach sounds and acts nothing like rorschach. even when reading the comic i would never picture rorschach talking like that. plus why the hell is his mask up the whole time? trying to get more face time or does your mics suck?

  • This was great guys! Nicely made and well acted.

  • very good i must say. when he opened the door and saw it was broken i was like "oh this is that scene. cool!". You did a great job.

  • no squid?!?

    haha just kidding!

  • Good stuff, my only problem was with the actor palying Dan, I mean wasnt that big, but it was good.

  • Nice Rorschach,I must say

  • wow, that was really impressive! The music was awesome, and it really fit the scene. keep it up guys!

  • I think it's cool that you are such a fan of the books that you chose to attempt this as a student. You clearly love the story, and it shows. I'm sure now that the actual film is released, you will have a lot of people posting negative comments on the video, but ignore them. I hope you got an A!

  • I like it!

  • wow! really suprisingly good acting

  • well done lads. Whats the jazz music at the start?

  • Blue in Green by Miles Davis.

  • You guys did an amazing job. Considering what you had to work with, you did great.

I actually like Rorsharch's accent. It sounds like a thick Brooklyn accent. And Dan is supposed to be a little chubby. He's been out of the hero game since 1977.

  • Everything was great about that except that the opening was a little to long.

  • the opening was too long but otherwise you did a really great job! very impressed

  • Wow...

Good editing. Good costumes. Even good acting!

Any chance of any more Watchmen videos, or is that just too far? :)

  • Brilliant music syncing, the shots were pretty good too.

  • Holly shit...

    That was really good

  • a british rorschach is pretty cool but the kind in the movie seems the best

  • he's pretty fat

  • I thought the detectives/police didn't discover The Comedian's costume, I thought only Rorschach did.

  • hey i bet you guys wouldnt leave out the squid ,nice vid good work :)

  • Very well done. I noticed you used some music from American Beauty. Cool.

  • That was quite well shot, and pretty well acted too. Kudos to you guys.

  • Exelente trabajo, ojala pudiera conocerte para participar de tus proyectos, sobre todo el de Preacher!.

    Saludos desde Argentina.

  • I really like the New Yorker accent you all gave to Rorschach. I don't know if it was entirely intentional but it gives a slightly humanized noir-style twist to his character - which, I think is entirely appropriate.

  • This short adaptation is very well put together, a very good adaptation of the graphic novel, you can tell that Adam Perry and Michael Mason Blair have had some acting experience.

Blair plays a solid Rorschach and Perry it very suitable as Nite Owl, 5 stars from me.

  • hey that was great work

  • That was actually pretty good

  • watch my video response. i had fun with this.

  • this is really awesome. i made a re-edit of this (for fun) to make it fit the atmosphere the graphic novel was really published under.

  • loved that.

really really good guys , well done.

  • Great job, i enjoy the choice of the seen. You had the tempo well paced. Obviously you had limited resources so there is an intitial forgiveness there but horrah sir. Maybe you should step into another comic book story. Transmepolitan, Y, Preacher, maybe tackle Walking Dead

  • Actually, I made a Preacher movie. It is a little too "adult" for the youtube set, but maybe a trailer will end up here eventually. Thanks for watching!

  • What? that sounds awesome, you gots to let me know when you plan on having the trailer up dog. get that shite out there before they want to make a big hollywood version. be well firedude

  • john, what the hell did you do with the rest of your films on here? crazy d

  • Awesome!!! What arc did you base your movie off of? Gone to Texas? Until the End of the World? Also, the guy who played Dan captured him perfectly. Great job.

  • a "Preacher" movie?

    Whats it about?

  • Great, especially for the low budget. Acting top notch!

If i didn't know the story though, i would have cracked up when rorschach handed over the smiley face penant. kinda broke the mood

  • this was cool but it should've been less brighter and there should've been better more eerie music

  • some parts should have been shot in black and white.

  • I liked!

I wish Uwe Bowe was that good. ;)

  • nice try, props and rorschach's costume could have been better. . . . and rorschach's voice and jut about everything else.

    the beans looked right!

  • Meh.

  • I enjoyed this a lot, but I would say it was a bit over acted, and slow at times..an extra camera, or shorter pauses would of made it a little smoother..

even then I think this is wonderful!

  • rorschach should have pulled his mask over his face when he stood up, just before he says "take a look at this.

  • hey man, it's actually pretty good

  • awesome job

  • verry acurate

  • He'z in yo' house,

    eatin' yo' beanz!

    I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself. xD
