Conspircacy theorists were debunked years ago. These guys are simply an annoyance now and actually look quite stupid going on about demolitions. The fact is (as Oz1976 explained perfectly) critical elements were destroyed on impact in both towers. Even though they were stuck differently, the floor trusses are the key. Take them away (as was happening slowly as the fires burned) and the exterior columns reach a point where they buckle and fail under the immense loads.

But people on the ground including firefighters and cops said they heard secondary bombs going off. Actually there is vid on youtube when firefighter chief is saying 'start clearing the area a secondary device was found in the buildings' then u can hear him on the radio telling the other firefighters inside to get out.

@TarkinsApprentice no they didn't, they heard EXPLOSIONS. Explosions does NOT = BOMBS. Watch the Naudet documentary from start to finish. It clearly captures, with commentary from the Firefighters, of the people that were jumping and crashing into the awnings and overhang of the entrance sounding "like explosions". The bangs from the jumpers were terrifyingly loud. And a firefighter would say "and you know a life was just gone".

@OrginalKork It was the burning jet fuel and the fireproofing that was blown off that caused the collapse. The building was made to withstand an airplane crash, just not jet burning for over an hour.

@goombabear it was designed to withstand a 707 crash, not a 767 with 10,000 gallons of jetfuel. And it was designed for headon collision, which is why WTC 1 lasted so long, it actually nearly worked. WTC 2 however was hit at an angle that seperated 1/4th of the structures exterior support columns. The design of the WTC also relied on the floor trusses being in place, many were dislodged on impact and others sagged as the fires raged and weakened the steel.

@Oz1976 Yes...well said. too many people are ripping on the design of those buildings. A lesser building would have toppled on or shortly after impact. Those buildings allowed people to escape the lower floors well after the crashes. How #2 stayed up after the crash is amazing, given the angle you stated, plus the much heavier load having been hit lower than #1.

@DanneVafan Not one of the towers nor 7 fell at freefall speed. Each tower was 110 stories, freefall speed would have been 9.2 seconds. They fell in 11-12 and 12-14 seconds respectively. Each tower had huge spires of core over 50 stories as the final part of their collapse. WTC 7 had one spot on the north face freefall for 2.5 seconds, the interior of the building had already collapsed allowing this to occur. And protip: freefall is not a characteristic of controlled demolition anyways.

@KittyzKatterz The no-planers live in a fantasy world where no-one in Manhattan was watching the towers even after the first plane hit and that they all saw prepared footage on the news or heard from people paid by the government. One of my friends was in New York on 9/11 and watched the second impact but he still gets told he's lying or works for the government.
