Your argument makes no sense. If Guru Ji wanted us to be like him then "Sants" should be considered Gurus because they are the closest to becoming like Guru Ji than anyone else. However, this is not the case. Guru Ji didn't want us to become him, he wanted us to follow a path laid before us to make us more in tune with God and ourselves.

What do u mean by sants? If you meant saints then I would say its very hard to be a saint. A saint is the one who doesnt have Kam, Krodh Lobh, Moh N Hankaar. Who does selfless service. Who sees love in every human being on this earth. Who is always loving even someone hates or says him bad words. Who doesnt do Backbiting. Who is without ego. Can U name one Sant who is like this but atleast we can try to be like our gurus.

Ok being like someone means you copy them. To copy Guru Ji you have to allow people to bow to you. We are not Guru Ji. We are not like Guru Ji. We are the disciples of the GURU (teacher) and therefore we follow their teachings. You are a student they are the teacher. You aren't like the teacher, you are simply the learner. As for the marijuana video, they claimed that Guru Gobind Singh Ji gave marijuana to nihangs. This is just false. Just obvious things that shouldn't be said wrong Veer Ji.

What is this garbage? No offense but this is exactly what people are accusing Sant Baba Ranjit Singh Ji for being pakhandi. We are NOT Guru Gobind Singh Ji. We are his followers and thats why we call him Guru. We will not be like Guru Granth Sahib, we will follow it on the path to Chardikala. Hello, I am writing this not as an attack but I am very curious and never understood this about Sikhism. I do attend a Gurdwara and like I said is no way in disrespect.

I do not understand when he said we should dress and look like Sri Guru Gobind Singh because we want to live like him. I was on more of the understanding that we need to connect with (waheguru) in our own way. everyone takes a different path but in the same direction. am i not understanding this?

GURU NANAK specificaly say's that doing anything other than chanting the name is not worth doing unless in constant remembrance of the one.

Now that is sikhism,but if you choose to become a member of the KHALSA then yes everything the brother say's is right.

SIKHISM and KHALSA is one for a KHALSA but GURU NANAK'S message is universal so a hindu can remain a hindu but is still welcome to receive the GURU'S teaching's.

I kind of do but am still a bit confused. I appreciate u taking time out to explain.

I was raised catholic but am now at a place where I am searching for truth. I notice a lot of similarities in religions and believe that we are all going in the same direction since there is only one God (guru). I attend a local Gurdwara from time to time. Although I can not understand a lot of the kirtans I have a sense of peace and connection which fullfills me. Thats why I go for now. I respect the Sikhs!
