I don't know about Lipton green tea, but I have seen some other Lipton teas with as many (or close enough) calories as a typical soda. And check out the sugar content too.

If you really want all of the benefits of green tea, I would suggest that you invest in a tea ball and buy some loose tea.

How come Americans seem to think that the 'Lipton' Brand is a representation for green tea,

I love Green Tea(Sencha,Gunpowder etc) i tried Lipton once and it was disgusting,

Buy loose leaf tea like 'Yamamotoyama' sencha its cheap($4.00 200g) yet it tastes beautiful.
