I have a 16 year old jack russell... and when she was young she would do the same thing!... When she was tired of driving she would crawl up and sleep behind my mom's head (draped over my mom's shoulders). It was the sweetest thing :-)

Dont worry, here in the UK we are allowed to let dogs drive, as long as there is an adult in the passenger seat, and the dog has an intelligence certificate, she had lots of lessons before she was allowed to drive. We always make sure the car has the D plate on display so other drivers are aware a dog is driving.
