Now my ipod gets the "suggestions" which I really don't like because thats sending my data to google servers and giving me suggestions. Google in the long run does not even want you to be able to use your computer, check out Chrome OS, you would need internet activity to use your computer. Crazy.

It sacrifices a lot of security to gain a little speed. Firefox is preferred because it is more secure and the vary small speed difference is insignificant. Safari is ok for mac, but it has less open community plug in creates. If you are just looking for a simple browser safari is probably your best bet on the mac, if you want some nice features then go firefox. Firefox is more secure and community supported on windows so it's overall better. Don't confuse fast with good EVER.

Chrome for Mac works great so far. Very fast and stable. Still a beta, so quirky on some web sites, but that's getting better with every update.

After a recent update, it took about 30 seconds for my iMac to sleep, but I quit a "helper" function in the Activity Monitor which fixed the sleep delay and doesn't seem to have harmed anything else.

One feature I like is that the address bar is also the search bar, so whatever you put in brings up either your choice of websites or other information.

Firefox is proven to be the fastest browser on a 64-bit computer, WHICH I HAVE! VIVA LA FIREFOX!!!! lol i tried out Google Chrome, and i love it cuz it's so easy to use, but sometimes trying to save a file or open an attachment from my email is a pain in the ass. and ive tested both of them out on my computer, Firefox is just a bit faster, but Google Chrome is more user friendly which makes it good for people who aren't really good at computers, IMO they're both very good browsers. :)
