And those who are marrying non member of the church can not get married in temple so there for there will be CIVIL marriage where everyone can attend. Obviously if the couple is marrying in temple they already know who can and can not come. Its their choice its nothing bad. While your at it go bash other religions that have strict policy also thats not fair for other family members whos not of that faith..
UM for your info you do have the CHOICE to have a civil marriage outside of temple and later they can go to the temple to be sealed. SOME choose to marry in the temple and sealed after words. So Yeah I AM mormon and when I get married I WILL get married in temple first yes my family can not come but i will have reception to where EVERYONE can come and have ring ceremony.
@anglwatchinme247 True they can have a civil ceremony first. But they cant go to the temple right away. I was always told you had to wait the full year after a civil ceremony to be sealed in temple. What should have been the happiest day of my life was marred because my own family could not be in the temple with me. A unfeeling and cold rule,,,and one of the reason I left the church. The reception is nice but my father refused to attend that because he could not see my wedding
I'm LDS, and when my cousins were married in an LDS temple, I couldn't go inside either. I was a little bummed, but I understood the reasons why. Then when I was finally given the privilege to be married in an LDS temple, I saw how wonderful and sacred it really is. I can tell you that I know that this is a sacred ordinance under God, and he's not trying to push people away from being able to go into the Temple and see their families get married. He wants us to be apart of that eternal happiness
@ravenclawLDS89 If you understand the reason why, please tell us. Because the church has never provided a reason why people cant get married civily, so that every family member can attend and then sealed later without waiting a year and having all members believe the couple has sinned. This is a random rule, non-doctrinal, non-logical and not revelation. It is simply a rule from a bunch of old out of touch leaders that don't give a damn about how they hurt families.

Then the parent should just do the right things so they will be worthy to attend. It's so easy.
