In a world where "life isn't fair" is a common parental comeback to the child who questions injustice in their lives. If I can't take it, it is only right that someone else can take my life for me and for their own fucking satisfaction without being accused of "murder" because I requested it.
Life is too precious, especially since you only get one go round. No matter how bad today is, tomorrow is always a new day. Please, get help. Call a friend, look at your children, your parents. I think suicide is the most selfish thing to do when you have kids. Not saying that those who have none don't matter. But EVERY life is precious! If you leave children behind, or God forbid they find your body, it leaves a permanent scar. Those kind could NEVER be removed.

Almost 35 years ago, I attempted suicide. Had it not been for my mother having a headache and needing a Tylenol, I would not be here today. I can't say that I made a conscious decision to attempt suicide, but I knew a life of sexual and physical abuse by my mother's husband was far worse than death. Until you have been to that crossroad, you never know what can cause a person to commit suicide. Don't be so easy to judge. It's pretty lonely at that crossroad.
Not everybody has the capacity to endure a life here. It's hard to make it through one single day on this planet. To live a life time here is a major accomplishment.

I came to this site while searching for ideas for a video I am working on with one of my songs. the music was inspired after loosing a co-worker and friend= took his own life. One of my sisters attempted suicide, and after so many years of my life experiencing someone I knew taking their own lives. I have lived with depression for 40 years~learned long ago to channel those days of darkness/hoplessnes into music= it has helped to channel those racing thoughts & feelings=which are hard to share!
I've thought of it. Several times have I thought of it. I've thought of the different ways, the messy ones, the cleaner ones. I've thought of simply driving off the road and letting my car choose which path. I've wondered if I'd be missed, if my friends, family and even enemies would come to my funeral. It's something I've wondered since I was young. I haven't done it, because of the pain it'd cause, and because I haven't lived enough to accept death just yet.
Do not kill yourself. This earth can be your best friend and your worst enemy. truth is your on earth for a short time so just experience something. if your feeling down literally change your reality. Creation is everyone.
life belongs to God. He gave it. sometimes people can have their hormones out of whack or be deficient in something else. there is help. suicide leads straight to hell. a hell like you would not believe. some say fish oil helps with depression too. ask your doc. scream out to God and He will help you. I learned early what severe depression is. As long as I am alive, it will not end, and yet, I am still a survivor. I grew up with learning disabilities, teasing, bullying, No friends, no1 to play with. I was picked on by classmates. My ex-wife gave up on me. I took every1 of my pills that night. I woke up angry, mad and disapointed. I have since come to terms with the fact that I will never be at peace. But, coming to terms with that, gave me peace, as this means there is no battle for peace!
I don't think anyone is here to heap blame on anyone who has committed suicide We care and we want those of you feeling suicidal to stay here for just one more day - just another day - and maybe tomorow will feel even a slight bit better than it does just now. A dear friend, who made a serious suicide attempt many years ago (thankfully survived - and thrived!!) said that she couldn't see "beyond her pain." Later, she realized there were many who loved her - and would have ached at her passing.

Love them in memory. Put them inside your heart & tell them it is okay & safe for them to be there. You will cry & you will heal!

I used to judge people who committed suicide. No longer. Their pain was so great that they so no other way. I just wish they had gotten the help they needed. There is more therapy/meds now. God bless them--and He does.

I've heard that all the people who have survived suicide by defenestration say that as soon as they were in the air they realized that their problems were not insurmountable and that they had made a mistake. Life seems easy to lose, until you actually lose it, then you want it back.
as insensitive and/or painful as this might sound, suicide is a coward's way out. I say that because for every dark day, the sun WILL shine but some people seem to (want to) focus more on the pain and/or misery that they feel instead of the strengths (however small or insignificant they might seem) that they possess & hope that awaits them. I don't encourage living one's life SOLELY for the pleasure and satisfaction of others but those who love the suicidal person should AT LEAST be considered

@AngelsPicks Really? As a survivor, I have vowed never ever to try again. I am still waiting for the sun 2 shine. I remember how it felt to have the sun shine, but it is a memory. Focusing on the pain/misery, is what we have. If it were a mix of good and bad, it would be different. Are there good times? Once in a while. Do I look for them? Not sure, very hard to see. I am not trying to be critical of your letter really, but it is us who live in the dark, we feel God is not here with us.

I believe that only God knows who is able to handle life and who isen't. I don't believe it's a sin that can't be forgiven however...you have to have been there to know what it feels like to see death as simply "stopping the pain" because life hurts alot more. I don't believe we have the right, yet I believe we can be forgiven. Like I said only God truly knows who are His whether they committ suicide or not (preferably not)
So what kind of help for you have recommended that 77 year old George Eastman get? In his final two years, Eastman was in intense pain, caused by a degenerative disorder affecting his spine. He had trouble standing and his walking became a slow shuffle. Eastman had seen his mother spend the last two years of her life in a wheelchair from the same condition.

I've suffered with mild to severe depression and still do and I've had those feelings where I just wanted to fall asleep and never wake up.but I could never imagine going that far.Because the feeling won't last forever.There is always a reason to hang on.I just don't have that mind set.even when I'm at my lowest.life is a battle but it's also beautiful.In a way I view life as a game with levels.everyone has a higher self they just have to work toward becoming one with it.

When I was in my 20's, I suffered from mental health issues that made me take an overdose.....when I woke up, I said "DAMN! I'm still here!" but I learned a lot from that point on....To this day, I have kept my promise that I would NEVER EVER do that again...and I haven't.. I still have mental issues, but it's controled now. I sought Jesus and my whole life has turned around! :)

I learned early what severe depression is. As long as I am alive, it will not end, and yet, I am still a survivor. I grew up with learning disabilities, teasing, bullying, No friends, no1 to play with. I was picked on by classmates. My ex-wife gave up on me. I took every1 of my pills that night. I woke up angry, mad and disapointed. I have since come to terms with the fact that I will never be at peace. But, coming to terms with that, gave me peace, as this means there is no battle for peace!

A dear friend, who made a serious suicide attempt many years ago (thankfully survived - and thrived!!) said that she couldn't see "beyond her pain." Focusing on the pain/misery, is what we have. If it were a mix of good and bad, it would be different. Are there good times? Once in a while. Do I look for them? Not sure, very hard to see. I am not trying to be critical of your letter really, but it is us who live in the dark, we feel God is not here with us.

I believe that only God knows who is able to handle life and who isen't. I don't believe it's a sin that can't be forgiven however...you have to have been there to know what it feels like to see death as simply "stopping the pain" because life hurts alot more. So what kind of help for you have recommended that 77 year old George Eastman get? In his final two years, Eastman was in intense pain, caused by a degenerative disorder affecting his spine. He had trouble standing and his walking became a slow shuffle. Eastman had seen his mother spend the last two years of her life in a wheelchair from the same condition.

I've suffered with mild to severe depression and still do and I've had those feelings where I just wanted to fall asleep and never wake up.but I could never imagine going that far.Because the feeling won't last forever.There is always a reason to hang on.I just don't have that mind set.even when I'm at my lowest.life is a battle but it's also beautiful.In a way I view life as a game with levels.everyone has a higher self they just have to work toward becoming one with it.

When I was in my 20's, I suffered from mental health issues that made me take an overdose.....when I woke up, I said "DAMN! I'm still here!" but I learned a lot from that point on....To this day, I have kept my promise that I would NEVER EVER do that again...and I haven't.. I still have mental issues, but it's controled now. I sought Jesus and my whole life has turned around! :)
