  • On the A Day To Remember live DVD, Jeremy McKinnon announced that a band called 'Dredg' was playing after them....

I decided to look them up thinking they were a metal or hardcore band....

This is so much better than what I expected (:

  • @TheSkateboardingTaco Haha. I came here cause Misha mansoor from periphery wore a hoody with DREDG on it. I remember ADTR saying this but never looked it up. I was too lazy. :) But nice to see that metal and hardcore fans can still like other kinds of music without hating it or comparing it.

    Awsome music!

  • @Asmodai4 Dude, no way am I one of those close minded persons that listen to metal (:

You can't say you love music as much as I do if you only listen to one genre of it :P

  • @TheSkateboardingTaco I never said you are a close minded. But many people in metal are as you probably know. ;) I listen to everything which has real instruments in it. Every kind of Metal, Jazz, Rock and alternative. I just hate david guetta and stuff like that.

  • I would give a finger to make them come to Italy.

  • talent is the only thing which cannot be hidden)

  • this song is so orgasmic)

  • I feel like I'm sitting on the bed in the hotel I stayed in Europe when I first saw this.

I was really taken away by this song, and have listened to it ever since even when my adventures in Europe were long over.

  • @SolitaryWinterStar I love that, when certain songs act as the foundation for our memories and can really take us back to an exact moment/place.

  • @1nationalist Yes, that's what can make music amazing and captivating. It really isn't a lie when a certain kind of music can remind you of a moment in your life.

Exactly how will forever be a mystery like every other wonder in the world. After all, everything is still just a theory, yes?

  • I just discovered this band. Really good, inspiring song.

  • One of the greatest songs & video ever made!! Go Dredg Go!! They deserve a lot more

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE..........did i mention that i LOVE this song

  • hat schwer was von a-ha

  • 59 People don't have the true information.

  • yeah.

  • i loved dredg and especially this song the first time that i listened to.

it was may 2009 and i falled in love with the boy that broke my heart 2 months ago. we went to a dredg's show in ravenna (IT) and he told me: "this is our song".. everytime i listen to "INFORMATION" i cry because i can't forget the beautiful moments we shared. This is for you, Nicola. Forever and ever...

  • @GiulietBons got the same song.. I listen to it every single day.

  • can you guys tell me some of their heaviest songs? imgoing to see them on wedsday with aal and i want to know the heavy songs

  • @XBillinatorX Is Not Everything and most of the stuff of Leitmotif ....some of the Conscious LP stuff too

  • Skullets rule

  • Da kann man nix machen müssen wir eben warten np mfg

  • His voice is so clear. He sounds great. I have always loved Dredg. I think they have their own sound. They don't sound like any band I can think of. They are good.

  • @souldiver101 the german band "polarkreis 18" :D

  • @souldiver101 Thursday on "A City By The Light Divided". In fact the part at 2:31 has originally been used in their song "Running From The Rain". On the other hand, ACBTLD is heavily quoting dredg. I think CWA and ACBTLD sound quite similar. And if you look for the style they play on "Pariah", try some U2 *shudders* Hope dredg V will have be decent material again.

  • your voice gives me goosebumps :) awesome <3

  • f0rest 2010

  • No joke man. I say let it alone. Do what you like. I'm in a library listening to music.

  • For me this song doesn't represents Dredg... But ok... single's songs are often for people who loves simply music...

  • too bad the video version is missing the best damn part of the song.

  • Comment removed

  • Once they get going, that soft voice has a nice was of balancing out the hardness of the music.

  • on the corner

  • @Pedowfyl If you would have fallowed this band from the very start of their career you would really appreciate the amazing soundscape and musical evolution until this point.

  • @Frankenstein4Ever ja genau! ich liebe dredg...

  • definetly aint sound like coldplay!!!

  • @albernerhelge the piano do

  • @diogoneves4 the piano sounds like every piano in a song...theres no special sound in a clodplay song i think

  • It sounds Like Coldplay. But I like the intro. And yeah its good music.

  • Das neue Album ist absolut fantastisch!

  • This Is Epic

  • You're suffering, allow me to be your sponge, cause I can absorb your sorrows, I'm the one! Brilliant and Beautiful lyrics and music. Keep up the good work guys!

  • I forgot "Leitmotif". How could i? That is also a brilliant album!

  • Porcupine tree steven wilson most talented musicians of all time

  • i like the pictures at the walls

  • amazing song, gives me chills each time i hear it.

  • Gavin Hayes!!! (L)

  • this song is about stalking people on facebook

  • Not as instant as Cielo for me (still a firm favourite on the iPod) but this album has really grown on me. Wonderful stuff and fantastic song. They need more publicity in the UK.

  • @Tigershark1969

el cielo..instant?..congratz;)..i need a few listenings to understand all of them..el cielo is i think played in the same categorie as leitmotif or catch with out arms..the "new" pariah album is for me an progress to their older things..sorry 4 my bad english..greets

  • one of my favorites on the album

  • their new stuff is a different aproach, probobly better in their opinion, way more room to expand and do different things, heavier isnt always better.

  • amen!

  • sound like somebody was getting a little tired of being in the underground...

  • got to talk to all four of them on multiple occasions in dallas tx 10-20-08, was a great show. being a musician, ive had a tendency to start being more analytical at shows recently, instead of just letting go and reveling in the moment. but not at the dredg show, pure emotion and release.

  • @scotamiran

you lucky s.o.b! (jokingly, not serious man)

they've stopped touring that would've been really cool to attend a show... you're right about the release and the expressiveness of music only so few musicians can do this properly

Thank god these gents haven't sold out commercially yet like Kings Of Leon

  • nominated for the 2010 geysing awards

  • Lmfao, I just listened to their Concious EP from 1996 and it's heavy as fuck. Sounds like a completely different band compared to this.

Anyways, I wasn't too fond of this album. It sounded a bit too mainstream for my tastes. I prefere El Cielo and before above all, but this and Catch Without Arms are still great albums.

  • yeah... i had the same sort of feeling at first too, that i wasnt reacting positively as quickly as i did with cielo and catch. but its def grown on me. i think that theres areas theyve grown on this album, but def areas they didnt. whether they chose not to change the things they didnt idk, maybe its just me and my reactions to it. but it did take a bit to warm up to some stuff. glad they did this song tho, to me its like the penultimate dredg theme/chord prog'sion.

  • That might be true. Although, the first time I heard Leitmotif, it had instantly interested me and soon grew on me. This didn't really catch my ear... at all. They just don't seem to be as dynamic as pre-CWA, at least to me. Decent song, but just not for me. I think their penultimate theme would have to be The Canyon Behind Her.

  • I thought their hard stuff was awful.

  • to each their own.

  • THE SONG IS A MASTERPIECE!!!

I have the albums El cielo, catch without arms, and live at the Fillmore. I personnally prefer El cielo. For me this is their greatest album. But catch without arms is good, too. It is just more commercialy orientated than El cielo. I've bought the pariah today, and I LOVE information. This song is SO GREAT!

  • I was obsessed with dredg back in 2006. I played Catch Without Arms almost everyday for over three months, sometimes two or three times in a day. I loved it, as well as Leitmotif and El Cielo.

But now...I've listened to The Pariah less than 10 times since I got it last summer. It's an AMAZING album, but I'm just not into them right now...it's weird...I don't feel that "connection" to it yet.

I think I grew bored waiting...and waiting for it. That was a LONG fucking wait.

  • i totally agree, it's nothing compared to their others.

  • You misunderstand. I love The Pariah. But I'm just not "into" it yet, for personal reasons. (I think I burned out on dredg and need a longer break or something...)

  • @AragornIsStrider:

you're right, maybe a break will help. I'd propose to get into another band for some time and then come back to it.

  • oooo I love dredg;)

  • niiiiiiiiiiiice <3<3<3

  • just bought the new album its amazing in my opinion its better than catch without arms best album of 09 by far you gotta get it even if you dont like this song which is absurd because its great. album versions better though
