  • What is "fleur de sal", I couldn't make it out, it was a spice you mentioned? After the paprika?

  • fluer de sal, or flor de sal, depending on country of origin is just fancy sea salt.  In my opinion using it at the point she does is pointless, any much less expensive salt would work. The subtle nuances of the fancy salt are lost in the cooking process - once dissolved, salt is salt. Subtle flavorings and crystal structure is best preserved when using at table.
