@skillerza1 no. get a quad core for GTA IV or buy a console. GTA IV isnt that special. Mafia II is a lot like GTA IV but runs way better on lower hardware. dont buy better than a 4550 for that processor. it will bottleneck.

Dove solo le applicazioni descritte all'inizio? ho visto soltanto quattro filmati che scatteggiavano anche, di un gioco che me lo runna anche il pentium 3!! Im gonna buy the 4200+ manchester core and I'm gonna overclock it to 2.6ghz atleast

I've got that and been working with overclockin it the past 2 months. Using 240x11 I can get 2,640Mhz with a 166Mhz divider on memory that's DDR400 but so far from testing it's like 90% stable.. currently running 1.45v and it picks up much heat if you go much higher then that.. 1.5 being the top amount for being in the "safe zone" they say for this chip.

You tested your PC on CS 1.6, my old p4 1.6ghz with 32MB Geforce 2 can get good frame rates too, cs 1.6 aint really a test for a pc.

yes it can handle the latest games, but the more ram you have the better id say 2 gb ram is sufficient in dual channel mode the ddr2 800 i mean. I have the AMD 64 4200+ X2 2.2ghz, thing is i have mine overclocked from 2.2ghz to 2.915 ghz it's a bueaty but i upgrade like every month, setting cpu's aside what is needed other then cpu is video card, id say invest in a 8800 series vid card from nvidia, that should last you for a couple yrs.

i know that the Amd ATHLON 64 X2 DC 4800+ is faster then my cpu, because he has 2x 2,4 ghz and 2x 1mb level 2cache. i have only 2x 2,24ghz and 2x 512mb level 2cache. your cpu has more power then my. i would buy a intel core 2duo..because the smallest intel core2 duo is fast as fast the amd athlon fx60 dualcore. and cost only 190euro and overclocked at 2,8 ghz he is so fast as a intel core2 duo X6800 extrem... have you more question write to me.... thx
