  • Herb Pedersen is playing banjo , he is very much alive.

The only player in this line up that has passed away is Dan Fogelberg.

  • RIP Dan... still 'missin' you...

  • The Banjo is Herb Pederson and the bass looks like Chris Hillman. Chris and Herb have done many bluegrass projects together. One of my favorites is "Rice, Rice, Hillman and Pederson.

  • Bought this LP the day it came out in 85..wore it out..Fogelberg=GENIUS

  • So many great musicians who have played in so many great bands here!

  • The old Governor from the 1970's is the new Governor of California. How cool that Meg Whitman wasted 150 million dollars of her own money on personal vanity. I'm still laughing.

  • That's Herb Pedersen on banjo (one of the better banjo players around, though not first name you think of when somebody says banjo). That's also Jim Buchanan on fiddle. Pedersen and Buchanan played on the High Country Snows album that this song came from. Most of the major players from that album are in this stage band. If you want to hear more great banjo playing from Herb, pick up Rounder 0169 titled "Here Today" (also includes Buchanan and Grisman). Great stuff if you like bluegrass.

  • That also looks like Earl Scruggs son, Randy in the background on acoustic guitar. But I can't tell for sure.

  • That's an all-star lineup. David Grisman on mandolin; Stuart Duncan on fiddle; Jerry Douglas on dobro; and the late Bobby Thompson on banjo.

  • Wow, Dan can rock!

  • Danny at his country rocking best!!!!!! Love this...rare.....thx WAOTNC
