For instance, the film indicates that the majority of terminations performed by "Vera" did not develop complications, just as most women don't get physically ill from abortions, but they still do now that abortion is legal.
what might your resource be? personal experience of all variables? general hear-say? assumption that natural child birth is primeval, incarcerating, and just another model of man-overpowering-woman? In reference to, yes, legal abortions:

According to the CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, the risk of death associated with abortion in the United States is less than 0.6 per 100,000 procedures, which is less than one-tenth as large as the risk associated with childbirth.
Another one to watch on here is 'The Magdolene sisters' to see the other options given to women and girls in this condition. It was in Ireland granted but the situation was horrific!
